"today is the day!"
lainie smiles brightly. the slightly older one of her twin sisters applies the makeup carefully, smile wide. her twin was off somewhere helping lainie's father. lainie was proud to have her sisters as her maids of honor.
jordan's sister and sister-in-law, her bridesmaids, are crowded in lainie's mother's bathroom as well, chatting with her. lainie appreciates the small talk, because her own sister won't speak while in the zone.
"my brother-in-law is a lucky man," says his sister's wife.
lainie beams.
"it runs in the family," replies his sister. the two smile at each other quickly, causing lainie to smile even wider.
lainie wants to have a relationship just like theirs with jordan.
no matter how short.
