I wake up to Holden crying. He has been crying in his sleep lately, so I wake him up and try to calm him down. I wonder if he has dream I mean he is still little, but he does have a brain.

I can't sleep well anymore. I have to many dreams. I need some good sleep, but I don't know how to get it.

It doesn't take long for me to find a broom. I start sweeping not only dust, but also just random junk. I sweep all of it to the porch that has a dumpster under it. I push it all off. I can't stand dirty or messy things; I get it from my mother.

Once I am done cleaning the kitchen and living room I look through his cabinets. Nothing. I look at Holden who is on the floor playing with his toy.

"Are you hungry?" I ask him.

"Sissy." He says to me; that's the only word he knows, also daddy, but he doesn't say that anymore.

"Yea!" I grab his bottle and put the powder in it then shake. At least he has food.

After I feed him I go to the store and buy a couple things for lunch.

~

Brian woke up by the smell of chicken in the kitchen.

"Ah, June, fixing lunch are you?" He said to me taking a big whiff of the ear. He still has his cloths on from yesterday.

"Yep!" I said. I went to Holden and got out his applesauce. Brian looks around the room and noticed that I through all the trash away. His mouth drops open.

"What did you do to my stuff?" He yells at me.

"It's called clean." I say putting the last spoonful of applesauce into Holden's mouth. " Then into the trash. The stuff was junk anyway " I put Holden on the counter, so I can watch him while I cook.

"You put my stuff in the trash?!" He yells at me. "You probably never saw the room clean have you." I smirk at him.

"Ha. Ha. Why!" He yells loud enough that I jump a few inches off the ground.

"Because I can't work in a dirty place." I take the chicken and put it onto a clean plate.

"Yes! Time to eat." He sits down across from me at the table.

"Yep." He looks at me. "Did you think you would get some?"

"Yes!" He gets angrier and angrier. I need him to be mad at me, so he doesn't care when I leave him. It was silent while I ate till he said something.

"Why did I agree to take care of you? I though you were going to leave." He smirks.

"I am, but did I say when." I take a last bite of my chicken then get up and clean my plate.

"So, where is my stuff really?" He says while I walk to his small porch. I hear him go away after a few minutes. I fall asleep in a chair on the porch with Holden in my arms. I had no dreams maybe because I knew Holden was safe I my arms.

~

I wake up at 6:37p.m and it was getting dark.

"Time to go, buddy." Holden's eyes open at the sound of my voice.

You could say I ran away. The only things I took with me was; Holden, Holden's things, and my purse plus the cloths I was wearing. I just walk down the street and I have no idea where I am going.

"June?" I hear a familiar voice coming from behind me. I turn around and see Nathan. I jump into his arms and he takes Holden from me. He is the only person in the world I trust right now.

"Are you ok?" I pause, am I ok? I shrug. "Where you headed to?" I put my head down and look at my feet. " Did you-um"

"Run away from Brian? Yes. I don't know where to go Nathan, but I had to get out of there." I never really thought where I would go I just wanted to get out of the house.

"Yeah I know. I would let you stay at my house, but my mom would take you back to Brain." I don't want to go back to him. "Um, but the restaurant is about to close. Do you want to sleep in a booth?" His parents own a restaurant. I sigh of relief knowing I have a place to stay.

"Yes, that fine." I walk next to him on the streets when he starts to walk. We turn a corner and I see the familiar building I used to play in with Nathan when we were little. We stop a few feet away and Nathan holds his hand out in front of me and I holt to a stop. He walks over to the window and looks through.

"All clear. The lights are all of." He says while taking keys out of his pocket. He finds a silver key and fits it into the lock. Then the door open and he walks in.

"Are you hungry. We might have leftovers in the freezer I could give to you?"

"That would be nice." He gives Holden to me who is asleep. Holden's eyes open when he is handed to me, but closes again after he see's me.

I set Holden down on a chair then walk over to a booth. I pull the table out, it was not that heavy, but it still took some strength. I push the to booth chairs together, so I have more space to sleep.

"Ok, I have some rolls and spaghetti. Is that ok?" I nod and start to eat.

"Can you feed Holden?" I ask him. He nods and put Holden's into his arms. Nathan is like a brother to Holden and I, and Holden always loved him, so I trust Nathan with Holden.

When we are both feed Nathan left and promised to come back in the morning.
