PLEASE READ!
I feel REALLY bad about not updating! First, I had school, and sports. Second, I have this really bad writers block, and it is SO annoying. I know this chapter is really short, but I will try to get more to you quickly.
Another thing, please feel free to comment on my story on things you like, or suggestions for the story.
Last thing, I know my story's have some grammar issues. I need an editor, so if anyone is willing please tell me.
It feels good to have Holden in my arms again. I sit in the Hotel room watching the news; they’re still showing the bombing area, and I get tired of watching it and turn it off.
I am supposed to check tomorrow morning, but I start gathering up my things and leave. Nathan will know that I left and he can check out by himself. I wish I can get my own house, but I am too young. I am too young for the things I am doing now. Being chased by some gang, losing my parents and brother, homeless, losing my best friend, most 17 year olds cannot handle all that. I am lucky to have my dad.
I think about tonight and what happened I know Nathan was just trying to help, but I told him I don’t need his help.
I lost my best friend…
“Holden what have I done?” Holden looks up at my with those adorable blue eyes.
“Sissy!” I hold him close. He holds up a lid that he has been playing with up to his eyes and yawns.
“Holden! We need to go, don’t fall asleep.” He closes his eyes. I let out a frustrate sigh and put him in his carrier that he is almost too big for. A tear rolls down my face, and I grab a pillow nearby and bury my faced in it. I let all my emotions out. “I don’t what to do!” I sob into my pillow.
~
I walk on the streets of New Jersey carrying Holden who is sleeping. Tears roll down my face, but I don’t cry out loud. I look at Holden; he looks so peaceful when he sleeps. I kiss his forehead.
“I love you.” I whisper to him. That’s when I was suddenly pushed into a street alley and my mouth and eyes are covered. Holden is suddenly taken from me, and I kick whoever is holding on to me. I try to scream, but my knee hits metal, and then I hear the sound of a car engine. I am shoved into what feels like the back of a van.
“Holden!” I scream, and someone kicks me in the back.
