Sure enough, 10 minutes later 3 out of the four core were sat in a booth with Allie, Kevin and I, all of us sitting around and talking like we had no worries in the world. We disregarded the fact that I left in two days, that my life had suddenly turned into a deeper hell, and that I'd have to leave the closest friends I've ever had in my 16 years of living.

I sat cuddled into Jughead's side, him occasionally giving me forehead kisses and asking about my wellbeing. I teared up once or twice, thinking of how I'd have to leave him here. If anything, I did not want that.

Taking a sip of my strawberry shake, Jughead looks down at me with a throughful look.

"I thought you hated strawberry shakes?"

"I also thought I'd never get a chance to love you, things change." I giggle, sending him a wink. His lips pout, and he lets out an 'aw' before kissing my forehead. I blush.

"Hey guys." Veronica showed up 20 minutes late, a wide smile plastered on her face. I raise my eyebrow, opening my mouth to ask about her rather strange behavior, but my phone cut me off. Mom displayed across my screen, and I accepted the call, my friends all quieting down around me.

"Hey mom?" I say, a slight questioning tone to my voice. Jughead looks down at me questioningly, my friends following short after. Veronica though, sat with a wide smile.

"Mariella! Hi baby. How are you enjoying Riverdale? How are your friends?" My mom says happily, rambling into the phone.

"Uh, they're fine. Not to happy about me leaving, but I can't blame them," I say, cleaning my throat, "mom, not to be bluntly rude or anything, but how are you so happy right now?"

"Well, sweetheart, I got a call earlier. A very sweet lady named Hermione Lodge called me, said you were one of her daughters best friends. Then proceeded to tell me about an apartment in their building that is renting out." My mom tells me. I gasp, sitting up straighter, my eyes glossing over with tears.

"Are you thinking...?"

"Of renting it? Yes. I already contacted the building manager, it's ours if we want it. I wanted your input first though, before making any rash decisions."

"Oh my gosh, yes! Mom, this is amazing!" I exclaim, happy tears falling from my eyes. My mom chuckles from the other end.

"Alright. Well, the only issue is I'm having to pack up our things here and send them there, which will take a couple of days, but you're due to leave Tuesday. Though, Hermione offered for you to stay at her house for the time before I ge-"

"Yes," I cut my mom off, "a million times yes."

"Great! I'll call Allie's family and inform them of everything. I better go do that, I'll talk to you later honey." I bid goodbyes to my mom, before hanging up the phone and bolting out the booth, grabbing Veronica in a hug.

"You are a god sent, Veronica Lodge." I whisper, and she giggles.

"It's no biggy. Now you can stay here, and still get to see Allie." She says.

"Wait, what?" Betty says.

"My mom is renting an apartment in Veronica's building. I'm moving here." I briefly explain. I watch as my friends eyes widen, before they all break out in smiles.

"Oh my gosh, that's great!"

"No way!"

"I'll miss you, but I come here every holiday so."

"Yesss!"

I giggle, and Jughead envelopes me into a hug, rocking us back and forth slightly.

"Now you can stay here with me." He mumbles into my hair. I giggle and nod, and he kisses my cheek.

"I love you." He mumbles.

"I love you too." I mumble back. He smiles widely down at me.

"Oi, I love her too," Veronica says, pulling me from Jughead's arms, "Polygamy. Remember."

"Just for tonight, Veronica." Jughead mumbles. Veronica scoffs.

"Bitch, she's living with me for the next week. It's gonna be longer than tonight." She says. I giggle, rolling my eyes and pulling away from Veronica. Jughead tugs me to sit beside him, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"I love you." He mumbles. I giggle.

"Again, I love you too."

"I love you more than Veronica." He says.

"I know Jugs, I know."
