I was having a really good conversation with my dad about reality TV.
Not like the Kardashian's but stuff like
Basketball Wives,
Love and Hip Hop and all that.
He was basically saying that the producers choose the insane ones to go on the show. Like the crazy ones. And for what:
Drama.
They're portraying us a trifling, loud, ratchet, hoe-ish like people. And it's not really the men... it's the women.
Us young black girls need females to look up to. I mean, we really only got Michelle Obama and Beyoncé. If half of these "wives" were to just change up a lil and use their money to help out instead of flaunt, we could have some role models.
Take Cardi B for example.
She was a stripper but now she's saying she's gonna get it together.
Now she doesn't have to get money from selling her body but know for rapping, something she loves.
Just taking little changes in your life can make a big differences to someone else.
Cuz you know, us black folk have to go the extra mile to prove ourselves to the white folks.
Moral of the story is to stop misrepresenting our race and try to build it up... like we all can.
(Bruh, my nose is congested and it's about to rain in August and school startin soon and my birthday comin up and so much 😬)
