Sally was this really crazy girl that came to his school this year.
She was a pretty girl, with cropped brown hair and sharp grey eyes. But, she didn't attracted any boys in his class, they were all on Jessica, the hot girl with brown eyes and striking blonde hair and red plush lips.
He wasn't into Jessica though, although she confessed that she actually liked him. Sucker.
He got pulled out of his daydreaming when Sally's voice echoed through his head.
" Hey. Have some. I got plenty of them. " Sally's face popped into his view, holding a plate of cupcakes.
He gingerly took one and muttered his thanks before she whirled away.
That was actually one day that she was nice to him.
The next day, she was ignoring him. She walked away, with nose up high, when she saw him walking around the corner. During History class, she was sitting next to him and she always looked at him with hate and disgust, thinking Why am I sitting next to this idiot?
Well, That's What We Call KARMA.
Whenever he wanted to ask a question, she would shoo the question with a wave of her hand.
Then he accidentally said something not nice. And that's when she exploded.
She started calling him names after that day. Telling insults. Spread rumors. Ignoring him. Bitching him.
Next week, she came up, smiling and handing him a small piece of cake. The whole cycle starts again.
He nearly got fed up on it. He felt like throwing a piece of cake at her smiling face.
Some days, she would ask him for money. Although he had only 40 pounds inside his purse to last for a week, he would give her about 10 pounds. Then she would flounced off and bought more food from the canteen inside his school. Without sharing with him.
Some days, she was generous, lending him about 20 pounds. But he didn't knew what to spend with 20 pounds, so he spent it on buying groceries for her. She would carry the groceries back home with a happy face.
That was fine for him as his mother always said he must be kind to other people.
She didn't like jewelry, which was weird to him. He thought girls like all those shiny stuff. When one of the boys gave her a present of pearls, she looked at it and by that one look, she threw it in the dustbin and gave him a middle finger. She flounced away, her skirt swaying angrily behind her.
He felt pity for that boy who spent about a few hundreds on those pearls.
One time, she was posing for the year's magazine and everyone kind of criticized it, saying that Jessica should be in her place. She looked alright to him, with her white tee and blue jeans. He heard rumors that she was too fat, or bad posture of body or not the right body for models. She got kind of upset after hearing it and the school magazine changed their cover to Jessica. Attracted a hell lot of people.
He spotted Sally sitting at his bench, sobbing quietly. He sat next to her, giving her company.
Sally noticed him and said, " Do you think I'm pretty? "
He answered, " Yes. "
Sally just nodded and said, " Everyone thinks I'm the perfect girl. Perfect grades, perfect fashion every day, perfect student. I'm not. I'm just a normal girl. I can swear and joke whenever you like. I can be a hater and a lover. I can be nice and a bitch. I also drink and smoke. "
" Because I'm not a pretty girl after all. People can't judge a book by its cover anyway. " she finished.
" You are. " he said.
" No. " she said.
" Don't give up hope then. You can always impressed them with your, you know, your bitching skills. I kind of gotten used to it. "
" Oh? Interesting. Can I do that on you for the whole month? " she snickered.
" No. Don't please. " he pleaded.
" Hey. My mum wanted to invite you for dinner today. You wanna come? " she asked.
" Sure. Lead the way then, " he smiled at her.
She smiled back.
And he knew his heart had chosen his true love.
Her.
The Pretty Girl but Not The Pretty Girl.
