Lye looked out towards the battlefield at the battle camp 5 metres away from the rampage.

The battlefield was littered with bodies with the intoxicating smell of the coppery smell of blood. She could hear the sounds of clashing swords and agony screams.

She turned away, unable to hear those sounds and the smell. She knew her lover was standing in the field of killing.

He promised her that he would come back for her, if she just stayed at the battle camp. She agreed. Now she was thinking of what a fool she was.

He couldn't die actually. Why did he need her to stay, when he was immortal? He could always find her.

But she would fell guilty if she said no. They promised that they would be there together, no matter the price or the situation.

He fell in love with her when she first performed her dance in front of her king. He was one of the princes that was adopted by the king, but he didn't told him the truth of him. He complimented her dance as if fairies had actually blessed her with her beauty and her graceful movements which looked like trees swaying in the gentle breeze. They got together after a few dates at the papyrus fields, exchanging stories and gifts. And also delicious foods.

But one day, he told her the truth of him. He wasn't even a prince. He wasn't born of royalty. He was...

Something. A. Bit. Unexpected.

A god.

The God of War.

At first, she thought that he should take a female general but he said that he fell in love with her, because she's the contrast of his rage.

Her grace to his rage.

Her peacefulness to his burst.

Well, that was unexpected. But after a few moments with him, she felt her heart fall for him. Like a fairytale.

Now she's standing in the battle camp, waiting for him to come back.

But it felt like eternity. No sign of him.

She felt sweat sliding down her back.

After a few moments, she saw him running across the field, hacking his sword through his enemies like paper.

He saw the general, who was sitting on his horse and looking at him with pure fury. They both charged at each other, each screaming with rage. They met each other at the middle of the battlefield, each of them trying to killing the other and finding each other weakness.

She knew her lover was stronger than the general, because she saw him hacked the general after a few moves and the general died with a sword at his heart.

At that moment, she felt something passed through her. Pain came a second later.

She looked down and saw a black arrow sticking out of her gut. She let out a loose cry and crumpled to the floor.

But he caught her before she dropped to he floor.

" Lye. Lye! Please don't die. " he said frantically. His black hair was tousled and slck with sweat, his red rimmed eyes looked at her with pleading eyes. His armour was speckled with blood.

" Please let her live! Father! Please! " he shouted towards the sky.

" Hush. I'm alright. " Her voice rasped.

" No. Please. You are the only one person who understand who I am. You loved me despite of who I am. " he said.

" Yes, I still love you. But my life is dwindling to the darkness. I'm not like you, immortal and strong and beautiful. I'm only human. And we are easily broken by one word. " she said.

" Please don't go. "

" Promise me one thing. Give me a place in Heaven. " she said.

" Please! No, no, Lye you have to live. "

She whispered, " I love you, " before she faded into the darkness of the sea.

And her lover screamed with fury and sadness, as the passing of his wife struck him in his heart.
