Death Cards

At the 24th hour, 00:00, only one person survived the Death Cards. The person chose to stay back in the human world. But there was a cost, the blood on the person's hands can't be erased and the person is sentenced to death for the killing of 11 people, although it wasn't the person fault at all. 

This is the story of how 12 people came into Death Cards, an online psychotic game, and played the game, resulting to 11 people killed, along with one person sentenced to death. 

1 - Start Game

" Guys, I got an invitation. " Rainbow shouted. 

She was checking her email for updates. Instead, she got an invitation letter. 

Rainbow live in a small condo, near to her school. She was staying an overnight with 11 of her best friends. Azizah, Alisha, Wen Ying, Josephine, Eunice, Alya, Neha, Bonnie, Nicole, Jade.  

" What invitation letter? " Azizah asked. 

Rainbow opened the email and read the email out loud. 

A group of 12 has been selected to play a game. Whoever wins the game, will hold blood in their hands. Not erasable from memory nor smell nor sight. No turning back once entered through the doors of Death. 

" Creepy. " Wen Ying muttered. 

Rainbow, you have been selected, along with your 11 friends, to play this game.

" That's.. intense. " Azizah said. She could hear a tremor in her voice. 

" I think it's a fraud right? It's a fake email sent by scams. " Alya argued. Nicole seems to nod her head. 

" I think, we should try it. " Rainbow said. 

Rainbow's arrow on the screen moved to the link. 

" Wait! What happens if... the email is true? " Jade blurted out. 

" I guess we have to find out. " Alisha answered, sadly. 

Rainbow clicked on the link. It opened into a new tab, and then a moment later, the computer blacked out. Rainbow tried clicking on the keyboards on the computer to turn it on, but it didn't. 

" Ugh. It's a fraud. " Rainbow muttered angrily. 

Right after the moment she said, the computer showed letters, written by an invisible hand:

" Death Cards? " Alisha repeated. 

The words disappeared from the screen, and there were new words, written in cursive script. 

Unknown to other gamers, this is a game selected by Death. There's no turning back. 

12 people will play a game of cards. One is the killer. One is the nurse. One is the detective. One is the sole witness. The nine are innocents. The killer can kill anyone she likes. The nurse can heal anyone she chooses. The detective can bring justice to anyone she hates. The witness can tell anyone she likes about what she witness. The nine innocents can't do anything but sit back and see fates play around your lives. 

" Three important people, nine innocents? " Rainbow whispered. 

Now. It's time to start the 1st round. Pick a card. 

12 cards appeared in front of the screen, with numbers on it. 

Number cards - Innocents
King card - Detective
Queen card - Nurse
Ace card - Killer 
Joker card - Witness
