Marinette woke at the sound of her alarm blaring. She rolled around for a second before realizing she needed to get the hell outta bed.
"Ugh! Tikki! We have to go!"
Marinette fell from her loft to get ready. She changed from her pajamas to her everyday clothes in record time and tied up her pigtails. She slipped on her shoes while stumbling to grab her school bag and purse. She ran down stairs and grabbed a few cookies for Tikki and a small breakfast for herself as she bolted out the door and sprinted across the street.
She saw a limo pull up but seeing how late she was- she chose to ignore it and started to run for the stairs. That's when she tripped on air, her heavy bag making the impact more painful. Just moments after she fell, she head a grunt beside her. Adrien had slipped on the wet floor attempting to come aid Marinette. They looked at each other and laughed at themselves.
"You good Mari?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I think I tripped. I don't know it happened so fast." She giggled again at her clumsy self and laid on the floor as Adrien diligently stood up.
"Here, let me help you."
She turned over on her back as he grabbed both of her hands and pulled her up. She dusted herself off and they collected their fallen belongings.
"Are you ok?" She blushed, despite them being better friends than ever in the past, she still had a small crush on him.
"I'm fine. Thanks. God, I'm such a clutz." He laughed and handed her a pen that had fallen from her side pocket.
"You and me both. We better get going." They darted up the stairs and entered the classroom and quietly walked to their respected seats.
"Ah, nice of you to join us Mr. Agreste, Ms. Dupain Cheng. Please have a seat. I have an announcement to make." Adrien sat down as he gave Nino a weak fist bump.
"Alright class, quiet down."
Mrs. Bustier scanned her class, a serious expression on her face.
"So we took our final exams a while ago and I just got back the results. Everyone passed with flying colors! Since you are my senior class and every one passed... the entire class is going to Manele Bay Hawaii!"
The class burst into cheers as the two girls behind Adrien and Nino begin to talk about what bathing suit to bring and what fun activitiesthey woukd do. Nino and Adrien turned around to join the conversation.
"Adrien, do mind coming with me to the hallway?" Adrien turned back to his friends with a questionable look on his face and followed her as asked.
"Yes ma'am?"
"Knowing you have issues at home, I contacted your father and he gave you permission to go on the trip."
Adrien's eyes lit up with excitement. He jumped up and down for a second before recomposing his stature. He looked at her and thanked her multiple times before running back to his friends to tell them the great news. She smiled at his excitment and walked back into the classroom.
