Marinette strutted to school, getting stares left and right. It's not everyday you saw a teenager walking around in limited edition shoes. People were even snapping pictures, she was even stopped a few times and asked if they could take a picture with her and of the shoes. Marinette felt proud, she was Gabriel's aid and assistant until she became his partner in two months. Marinette walked up to the school and up the steps where the awed stares of student didn't intimidate her in the slightest. People looked at her with an expression of amazement... and that's when her phone rang.
"Mr.Agreste, how are you sir?" Marinette stopped at the staircase leading up to her class and leaned against the rail.
"I'm quite fine Ms. I see you decided to wear your Agreste brand items today. It's all over the media. Most people have never seen those shoes in their life." Gabriel sounded pleased with her decision.
"Sir, I quite love my Agreste items very much, cherish them in fact. Im very proud to own your works." Marinette's eyes wandered to the front of the school, where Adrien, Nino, and Alya entered.
"Well soon it will be the Agreste-Dupain Cheng items once we start our partnership Ms." Student's started pooling around Marinette in anticipation, waiting for her to end the phone call.
"Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" Chloe pushed through the crowd, obviously already hearing about the news. Adrien, Alya, and Nino followed behind Chloe, the only three who hadn't seemed to hear about Marinette's sudden wardrobe change. Adrien's jaw almost dropped at the sight of her.
"You don't deserve those shoes Maritrash! I do. You probably stole them or made your own because you were so desperate to own them!" Chloe cackled. Everyone's faces morphed into shock at her response as she put her phone back up to her ear.
"Mr.Agreste, would you like me to explain to Chloe about our new Agreste-Dupain Cheng partnership, or shall I?" Chole's jaw dropped and whispers set through the crowd. 'OMG, she's working for- no with Gabriel Agreste!' 'I can't believe she's on the phone with him!'. Marinette took the phone from her ear and put in on speaker phone.
"Ms. Bourgeois, I do not appriciate you attacking Ms. Marinette like that. I gave her those shoes to seal our partnership for my company. Her necklace was a thank you gift for helping me complete my last Fall Fashion show. It is May 28th today, on July 9th, my- no our company will be known as the Agreste-Dupain Cheng brand. Marinette deserves respect and not to be bullied. Remember who you're dealing with Ms. Bourgeois. One day, Marinette will be a fashion lord, just as I am. Good day." With that, the line went dead.
