To say Josh was excited would be an understatement. He was so, so thrilled that he would be able to see Tyler again in that little Café today. He woke up this morning with a smile that could brighten a whole room and such a cheerful attitude that it almost seemed contagious to everyone else in the Dun family. His mom was surprised, to say the least, since Josh was most certainly not a morning person. Not that she was complaining. If anything, it made her so happy when her boy walked down with such a spring in his step. But he wasn't home for long. Josh headed out as soon as he could, waving goodbye to his awestruck parents and wide eyed siblings, before nearly sprinting down the road to the café that was luckily only a five minute or so walking distance from his house. Getting there, out of breath but still beaming, he tried to open the Café door. It was locked.A bit confused, he read the sign hanging on the wooden door. It said the café opened at 9:00am. Checking his watch, he realized with a small frown that it was only 8:12. But he could wait. He didn't mind waiting if he could see Tyler again. Not wanting to walk back home, he decided to just sit on a bench near the Café. The workers should be here soon enough anyway; they needed time to get the Café ready before it opened. It wasn't too long before he started to hear voices slowly getting closer, and for the first time that morning, Josh got nervous. What if Tyler decided not to come today, and he just sat in the café all day waiting for him? What if he thought Josh was weird for waiting outside the door? But all these worries seemed to evaporate when he saw Tyler.
Today he was wearing a short white shorts with a pink sweater, so big that his hands disappeared halfway down it and it seemed to consume his whole upper half. He was so beautiful. As Josh walked up to him, Tyler visibly became more nervous, pulling on his sweater while his face went bright pink. Peering up at Josh from his eyelashes, he gave him a small smile. Josh's heart seemed to melt when he did, and they both slowly got closer. "Good morning" Tyler said softly. his voice was music to Josh's ears, so pure and quiet. "Good morning, flower. How are you?"
Even though he had called Tyler that last night as well, Tyler's face once again went a dark pink and he stumbled over his next words. "I'm fine, I wa..was really excited t..to meet you again!" The smaller boy exclaimed, his face lighting up. Josh chuckled, the sound making Tyler's heart beat a little faster. "I was really excited to see you too. that's why I'm here this early. Speaking of which, The shop hasn't opened yet, shouldn't you be helping to set it up? Josh said, smirking. Tyler blushed once again, the colour staining his cheeks in the most marvellous of ways, before he nodded and ran off. Josh watched him, a laugh bubbling up inside him and a smile wide on his lips. He knew that boy was going to be the death of him. And he wouldn't want to go any other way.
