Ed opened the door to his suite, and quickly jumped in the shower. It was now 4 in the morning and they were leaving for the airport at 5. The next stop on the tour was Arizona, and he was insanely excited. His mind kept drifting back to Jojo, and her contagious laugh. There was no doubt that Jojo was the type of girl you hold on to. The kind that you can take back home and introduce to all your friends and family, and feel confident that they'd love her. The kind that your mom would feel at ease with. The kind that was like... Taylor. Ed started shaking his head. What in the world was he doing? He'd just had a wonderful night with this incredible girl, and yet he still let himself think about Taylor. He knew if he told her about everything that happened she'd be excited for him, and that was almost the worst part. Still, he'd have to tell her, since they'd promise to never hold secrets from one another. Ed had always held up that promise ever since... other than his biggest secret. "We're just friends. I'm not in love with her." he said to himself.
He continued to pack up all his items, including the cat toys he had gotten for Meredith. "Oh god I'm whipped" he thought to himself. As he gathered his items he continued to repeat "I'm not in love with her," almost as if he said it enough times, he'd start to believe it.
"Ed! Are you done yet!"
The sound of her voice startled him, and started rushing to finish what he was doing, "Almost! Just let yourself in!" Ever since their 3rd concert together in St. Louis, they always gave each other a key to the other's room. Taylor was always too respectful to barge on in, so she always knocked, just to be safe.
"Almost, my ass. You're nowhere close to being finished. Then again why am I even suprised, you always trash your room." The girl always gave him shit about his room, which always led to him doing the same. "Yeah, sorry we can't all be clean freaks like you."
"Ouch." She giggled. "So why have you been saying 'I'm not in love with her' all morning?"
Ed's eyes almost popped out of his head, "Wait what?"
"Dude, your room is literally right next to mine. You actually served as my alarm this morning. I woke up after I heard you coming in." She casually begun helping him tidy up. "Thanks. Yeah sorry about that," he said softly as he packed up the last of his items, "It's this girl. She kind of blew me away. I don't know."
"Was she cute? What'd she look like?" Taylor asked eagerly.
"Long brown hair, stunning blue eyes. Oh! Dimples, they were killer, she wore this red dress and"
"I like her already!" She cut him off, "She's got good taste in colors." The two started laughing, "Oh god I hate you so much." Ed joked. "Nah, you love me and you know it," she giggled. "Trust me I know," Ed thought to himself.
"Come on let's get going, I just want to watch "Friends" on the plane already," Taylor stated.
Ed couldn't help but think about how well the two of them would get along. But introducing Jojo to Taylor? That was too far fetched of a thought, and felt entirely wrong. Still, he was sure they'd make fast friends, but not in this lifetime hopefully.
