"Everyone give it up to Ed Sheeran!" He smiled at Taylor as he waved at the crowd and walked off the stage. Tonight had been a major success and now it was time for his newfound nightly ritual, heading to a bar and getting smashed.
It was crowded back stage, everyone stammered around to ensure the show went exactly as planned. Ed watched Taylor perform, admiring the pure confidence she had on stage. He wiped the sweat off his brow, as the crew handed him towels to further dry himself off with. He grinned as a group of girls backstage ran towards him screaming, "Ed! Ed! I love you!" They always said the same things, how he was oh so talented and how much they loved him, and for Ed he always had the same response. "I love you too." He truly did love them, without them he'd be nothing. They took a few photos before he continued on his way out.
At the current moment, all that was on his mind was her. Her blonde locks, blue eyes, and angelic smile was all he could think about. The world saw her as Taylor Swift, the star, America's sweetheart, but he had gotten to know her, the real her, and she was even more astonishing. She truly was what she appeared as to the world, but better. A genuinely kind, intelligent, and compassionate human being.
Before the first time they met, Ed had been terrified of writing with her. Since his rise to fame he'd come to realize most celebrities were just an act, and that secretly they were all just fake. He honestly thought Taylor would be the exact same. Completely just terrified that he would show up and instead of writing together, he would be doing it all by himself. He was wrong. It was amazing that she had been able to come up with a brilliant hook and incredible lyrics all on her own. Ed felt as if all he needed to do was to just be her editor.
In the last few months he had gotten to know her, and they had become true friends. When something happened he was the first person she'd tell, and he'd do the same with her. He trusted her, and realized she was just as captivating as everyone thought. It didn't take long for him to realize how he felt about her. Him, Ed Sheeran, had fallen in love with Taylor Swift.
There was only one problem, she didn't feel the same way. Taylor didn't know of course, but it was evident she considered him just a friend, a good one at that, but still just a friend. Taylor was an incredible girl that deserved someone just as magnificent to be with, inside and out.
So as he arrived at the bar, just like he did every night, no matter the city or country, he sat down at the bar and tried to focus on his goal. His goal had remained the same for months, and it was always to forget her.
