"Yes, i'm fine mom." i rolled my eyes behind the phone, unpacking I had just reached my new apartment, hours ago and already my mom was blowing up my phone even when i had just moved to a different state.

"No, you don't need to come over, I'm fine by myself," I groaned  with frustration, i just wanted to finish unpacking but my mom was talking forever non-stop. "Listen, mom I'm fine, I'll call you back later, alright ?" I said and she sounded sad but understood, I said one last goodbye then I hung up, I let out a sigh of relief laying on the marble floor, resting my palm against my stomach, my belly growled, I was hungry. i knew i couldn't cook from scratch so the only option was to get up, and go out.

I started walking around New York, the sun was glowing today, brighter than back home in Philadelphia   at least, the streets where so busy, people were pushing against each other, like they were in football or something.

Finally i had saw a shop that caught my eye, a pizza place, I walked straight in and smelled the foods that were floating in the air. " Hey pretty lady, what can i get for ya?" the man behind the counter said loudly, making the hairs off my skin jump, "Um, do you guys have pineapple pizzas?" i almost whispered, he held a confused face, of course it was inaudible, he couldn't tell what i had said, i grew up quiet, i can't help it it's just how i am "A pineapple pizza," I said a bit louder and he let out a loud 'Oh' before saying , "that'll be $11.00," I reached in my purse and gave him a tip, i sat down on the greasy stool and placed my hands on the greasier marble counter, the place was really quiet, somehow the shop was able to block out the  street noise. the man with the Greasy apron came back with a huge pineapple pizza on a plastic plate, he slammed it on the marble table, pulling me out of my thoughts "enjoy it, pretty lady," he said again and i was more than tempted to roll my eyes but i didn't want to seem rude so i weakly smiled back instead.

the Pizza was amazing, i walked straight out of the pizza shop and wanted to walk around some more before going home when my phone rang, it was mom. "Jesus," I said before answering "Hey, mom." I said before i started walking back home " I just called to remind you that you have that job interview tomorrow," She said on the other end and that's when i stopped in the middle of the street. of course, that's why i was so nervous today. a few people bumped into me while my mom continued, a few tuts here and there were heard but i ignored it.

"Okay, mom i have to go i'll tell you how it all went tomorrow, i promise," I said "Why'd you always have to go, is there a boy-" I hung up then sped walk home.

'Tomorrow's going to be a long day '
