Chapter 20
Rachel and Cora ran into the house quickly with fear about what Ronnie is doing. "He's gonna kill Nathaniel." Rachel said as she collapsed on the floor and began hyperventilating. "Calm down, please. Taylor is trapped in there, it's either her or him. Please, calm down." Cora said as she began to try to calm Rachel down. "He deserves to die, but I just don't what him to, he's still a human." Rachel said as she began to cry. "He's gonna kill Taylor. Something needs to be done, I don't know why you're defending him." Cora said with a surprised look on her face. "I'm not, it's just not right." Rachel said in disbelief. "He needs to be taken care of for good. He caused to much problems." Cora said as they both walked outside on the porch, and they heard nothing from next door. "It's so quiet." Rachel whispered. "We need to see if he's okay." Cora said with concern as they both walked off of the porch. "Let him fight his own battle, I know him personally. He's a strong guy." Rachel said as she grabbed Cora's arm and they walked back onto the porch. "It's safer inside, I don't want any stray bullets flying out." Cora said as they both went inside Cora's house safely.

Taylor banged onto the basement door that Nathaniel locked her in, but the door was shut tight. She ran down the steps and tried to look for a way out in the dark basement. She pulled out her phone and turned on her flashlight. She saw a small window that she could possibly fit through. She picked a hard metal rod and smashed the window open. She quickly walked over to the table and saw a box of matches and a candle right next to it, she lit the candle and set it on the table so the room would be more lighter. She picked up a gas canister, as it began to leak all over the floor, she placed it under the window so she could boost herself up. She grabbed onto the wooden part of the wall, as she began to pull herself up, the wooden planks broke off the wall and smashed right into the table, causing the candle to fall straight onto the gas trail. The whole room bursted into flames. "No!" Taylor screamed as she began to panic. The fire was catching up to her as she was hanging off the side of the wall. She tried her hardest to pull herself through the window, but she was loosing strength. Smoke began to fill up the room, and Taylor was having a hard time breathing. "Someone help me." She said in a weak voice. Just as she was about to give up and let go, two arms came out of the window and pulled her outside onto the lawn in safety. "Oh my God, she's unconscious!" Cora screamed as she began shaking Taylor back and forth. Taylor tried to open her eyes, but all she saw were blurs. "She's okay, at least we got her out, the house to about to burn down, we need to do something, quick!" Rachel said as they ran onto Nathaniel's porch. "The door won't open." Cora said as she tried her hardest to open the door. "There's no use, let's get Taylor and take her into your house." Rachel said as they both ran over to Taylor, picked her up, and went inside Cora's house. They lied Taylor down on the couch safe and sound. "Thank you." Taylor said in a weak voice, as she finally fell asleep.

Nathaniel began looking all over the house for Ronnie but he couldn't find him anywhere. "Ronnie, stop being immature and come out wherever you are." Nathaniel said as he smelled smoke filling up the house. As he walked into the kitchen, he looked into the back yard and saw Ronnie escaping through the back gate. Nathaniel tried opening up the door, but Ronnie jammed it tight and it was impossible to open up. As the fire began to reach the next part of the house where Nathaniel was in, he began to panic. He ran towards the front door, and realized that was jammed tight too. "This can't just end like this." Nathaniel said in disbelief as he saw Rachel watching him from outside in the yard. He walked over and stared at her from behind the glass. "This your debt to pay now, I was gonna have you killed in a more gruesome way, but I guess this will do. You caused nothing but hell for me in my life, now it's your turn to pay." Rachel said as she stared into Nathaniel's eyes. "I'm sorry for everything I did to you, you didn't deserve it. But remember this, I took you in when nobody else did. When nobody else wanted you, you were a nobody and you still are. Go to hell." Nathaniel yelled in anger as the whole house bursted into flames. Rachel slowly watches Nathaniel being burned alive. "Come on, let's get out of her before the house starts falling apart." Cora said as they both ran back to her house.

The fire department swarmed what used to be Rachel and Nathaniel's house. "Let's avoid any questioning." Cora said as her, Rachel and Ronnie went into the house. They walked in and saw Taylor sitting on the couch watching the TV. "I'm okay guys." She said with a smile. "Ronnie went in and tried to save you, he's brave." Cora said in disbelief. "I'm just glad you're alright." Rachel said as she hugged Taylor. "What happened to Nathaniel?" Taylor asked in confusion. "He's dead, nothing more, nothing less." Ronnie replied with a laugh. "Wow, I never thought I'd see the day. When I was inside the house, there was a dead body in his bedroom. I didn't know who it was, but it was somebody. He had it's head completely smashed in." Taylor said in disgust. "All evidence in that house will thankfully be burned." Rachel said with a sigh of relief. "And it looks like you won't be taken to prison after all, so thank your friend Taylor for starting that fire." Cora said as a laugh as she looked outside the window, and saw Nathaniel's house collapsing. "I feel like I could actually live my life now." Rachel said with a smile.

It's been 6 hours since Nathaniel's death. All the fire trucks were cleared out of the area, and the house was burnt down to the ground. Rachel and Cora both sat outside on the porch. "I just can't believe he's actually gone." Rachel said in disbelief as Taylor and Ronnie came outside and sat on the stairs of the porch. "Rachel, I didn't wanna tell you this but all the girls were taken into jail. Their being questioned, Jenna's mom texted me. Their completely screwed." Taylor said with a worried look on her face. "Maybe it's time to play the super hero, Rachel." Cora said with a smirk on her face. "They don't want me, they think I'm dead." Rachel said as she shook her head no. "Are you kidding me? You're selfish that's all. You have friends who are trying to find you, and all you do is hide. You have a reason to come back for them, so why don't you go?" Ronnie said with an annoyed tone of voice. "They probably won't want anything to do with me after all the trouble I caused." Rachel said as her eyes began to fill up with tears. "You can fix this. I also have something else to tell you. Stella was murdered by someone." Taylor said. Rachel stood up from the chair and the porch, and covered her mouth in shock. "It's okay, just take a seat." Cora said as she tried to calm Rachel down. "Who killed her?" Rachel asked in disbelief. "That's the whole reason why the girls were taken into questioning." Taylor replied. "I know ways to get into the police station, I can help them." Ronnie said with confidence. "I need some time to gather myself, I'll make the final decision on what I want to do. I left so much behind it that town, now I guess it's all up to me." Rachel said as she stood up from the chair and walked into Cora's house.
