Saturday passes in a blur. Finally it's saturday night. I'm still confused as to what happened this past Friday. I didn't know that Dauntless would be that intense and we weren't even really initiates. I decide to forget about it because I need to focus on getting ready for one of the first back to school parties I've ever been invited to because of my new friend, Christina. And even more exciting/nerve wracking was it's a dauntless party. What does one even wear to a party? It can't be that different from normal clothes can it? I decide just to brush my hair out and throw on whatever and head to Christina's house.

I knock on Christina's door and she opens it and both of our eyes open in surprise as we observe each other's clothing choices.

"What on earth are you wearing?" We say at the same time. Christina was wearing a tight fitting, royal blue dress with capped sleeves. She pulls me inside. "You cannot go looking like that!" She rummages through her closet with mostly blue choices until she pulls out one of her only other choices. A black dress and black heels. She throws them into my hands and I quickly change. I turn to the mirror and admire what she gave me but quickly turn away after a few seconds. The dress hugs my chest but falls loosely from the waist to the middle of my thighs. I find myself trying to pull it down but Christina bats my hand away. "Now hair..." Christina says scrutinizing my thick brown hair. She decides to leave it down but throws a couple of little braids throughout my hair so it reminds me of the hair of the mermaids I used to read about as a child. She insists on putting some eyeliner on me and lipstick. Finally she is done.

"Wow..." I say awestruck at my final look. "You are amazing Christina!" She seems proud then pulls me to my feet.

"Come on, we are going to be late" and we head out the door.

We enter the dauntless neighborhood and it's all a bit frightening. Their houses are huge compared to mine. You can immediately guess which house the party is at by the amount of cars in front. My heart is pounding.

"Christina, you didn't say that this many people were going to be here!" She laughs at my reaction. "What did you expect?" She asks. I shake my head and step out of the car. As soon as we enter, Christina is swept away by her now boyfriend Will and I'm all alone, surrounded my drunk teenagers. I walk around, apologizing to anyone I bump into. I pass through the living room, trying to make my way to the kitchen, I notice the one and only Four sitting alone on the couch looking incredibly bored. Numerous girls walk towards him, but he gives them a look that sends them back away. He takes a small sip out of the cup in his hand and looks up at me, taking in my outfit. I feel my face redden and I remember how irritating Friday was and instantly get annoyed so as he opens his mouth to say something I quickly enter into the kitchen and get lost in the crowd.

The night passes and I'm standing on the edge of everyone and I feel a tap on the back of my shoulder. I turn around and an incredibly drunk boy from candor almost falls right into me. "Hey there beautiful" he slurs his words and then places his hand on my hip. "Whatcha doin' all alone" he whispers in my ear as I back up, hitting the wall. I can't find my voice to speak. He places his other hand on the hem of my dress and I try and push him off but he is persistent. Nobody else seems to notice him, pushing himself against me. All of a sudden, he is thrust off me and sent onto the floor. My jaw drops open and I look up to see Four, fire in his eyes as he looks down on the boy.

"Stay away" he hisses and the boy gets up and disappears into the crowed again. Four turns to me and again I can't think of any words. Why did he do that? "Are you ok?" He says genuinely. I nod. "Come with me." He says and I follow him back into the empty sitting room. We sit down on opposite couchs and I put my head in my hands.

"This is not how I thought this night would play out." I mumble. He chuckles.

"What did you expect? Wearing that and all. Kind of risky for abnegation don't you think? He probably mistook you for dauntless" his eyes quickly look me up and down again. I am boiling with rage. How could he say that??

"So you think this is my fault?! You think I WANT to be dressed like this?!" I'm practically screaming on the verge of tears but now my voice softens because if it didn't I would have definitely started crying. "I-I just want to fit in." Again, I go racing out so nobody would see the tears leaking out. I run into the dark neighborhood that i know nothing about. I can't stop running though. I don't even feel my legs anymore but by the time I stop it's because the tears are blinding me. I sit down on the curb and cry and cry until I fall asleep, laying there on the dark, dauntless sidewalk.
