Flames and Frosts: An Opposite Couple

Chapter 3

JACK

Great. We will save the world. I don't want to be a guardian. If I turned into a guardian, I will never have fun like the way I used to be. Me and Phoebe flew to the sleigh. I groaned. "I don't want to ride in some riggedy, old....." then I saw the sleigh. It was an advanced one with build up reindeers. "....... sleigh." I finished. I heard Phoebe snicker.

I glared at her and she rolled her eyes. She ignored me and jumped to the sleigh. Ugh. What a showoff. I mean, she IS pretty with her athletic body and beautiful face, but why does she have this kind of attitude. Maybe because I'm the EXACT opposite of her. Wait, did I said that she's pretty. Ugh. Jack Frost, why are you saying that Phoebe was pretty when she is such a jerk. I can't believe I was thinking about this. Then someone broke my thoughts. "Hey, Frost! Are you just gonna stand there and watch?" Phoebe yelled.

"Can you just wait for awhile?! Do you have patience?!" I yelled back.

"Dude, I know patience is a virtue but Tooth's in trouble so if you don't mind, make it a little bit faster?"

"Ugh." I groaned and went to the sleigh. All of us were there except for Bunny.

"Bunny, what are you doing?" North asked.

"I think the tunnels will be faster, mate. And, safer."

"No, get it. Buckle up." North grabbed him and sat him on the chair.

"But, where are the flying seatbelts?"

"Ha! That was just expression. Let's go!" he slashed the reindeers and we zoomed to the tunnels. Bunny was ridiculous that it made me laugh so hard.

"I hope you like the loop de loops." I snickered.

"I only like carrot." he said trying not to puke.

We came out of the sleigh and to the air. Time to make fun of the Easter Bunny. I went to the corner where the foot of the sleigh is there. "Hey Bunny, check out this view..... Hoah!" I let the wind throw me back to the foot of the sleigh and I heard Bunny gasped.

"Wait! Oh no...." then he looked at me and I grinned.

"Aww. You do care."

"Oh, rack off you limey show pony."

I laughed. "Jack! Sit down! I know a shortcut!" North said.

I sat down and heard North muttering, "I would say..... Toothpalace." then a big portal opened and the next thing I knew, we were infront of the palace with many black sand stallions. I even saw many toothfairies and teeth on their stomach. "They're taking the toothfairies and stealing the teeth!" I said.

"Pitch! That stupid bastard!" I heard Phoebe yelled at the Nightmares. I saw Baby Tooth about to get eaten by a Nightmare when an electric heatwave washed him out. Baby Tooth was falling when I catched her safely. "Hello, Baby Tooth. Are you okay?" I asked.

She nodded. Then we landed on the ground where Tooth was looking everywhere, rapidly. "Tooth! Are you alright?!" North yelled for her to hear.

"They took my fairies. The teeth, all of them. Every thing is gone. Everything." she sighed and landed between us.

"Ugh. Where is that awful bastard?" Phoebe growled.

"Oh, I'm right here. I can't believe the Big Five all in one place. A little star struck. And I can't believe how happy I am to see my favorite Guardian, Phoebe Flame. The Guardian of Faith and the exact opposite of fear." Pitch snickered above us. Phoebe growled.

"Pitch! You've got 30 seconds to return my fairies!" Tooth flew to him but he disappeared.

"Or what? You'll put a quarter under my pillow?" he moved to a another platform by the shadows.

"What do you want?" North asked.

"Maybe, I want what you have. To be believed in."

We widened our eyes. "Maybe I'm tired of hiding under beds."

"Maybe, that's where you belong." Bunny said back.

"Oh, suck it in, rabbit." he said under and disappeared.

"Wait, is that Jack Frost. Heh, and why are you all so chummy?"

"We're not." I said.

"Well, then I'm gonna ignore you. I guess that you're used to that by now." I gritted my teeth.

Tooth took Bunny's boomerang and flew towards Pitch. But, a nightmare came beside him, making her scared.

"Whoa. Easy girl, easy. Looking familiar, Sandman. It took me awhile to perfect this little trick. Turning dreams into nightmares. It was just a little thing, but to a child? That's where the show begins." he snickered.

And then, the palace begins to disintegrate. "Ahh.... It's happening already."

"Uh...." Tooth trembled

"What is?" I asked.

"They. They don't believe in me anymore." she looked down.

"Did they tell you Jack? It's great to be a Guardian. But there's a catch. All of your hopes and dreams will go away. And little by little, so do they."

Then, Phoebe began to tremble and knelt down. Then, she began to scream. "Ahhh!!"

We rush to her. I knelt down and lay her head on my knees. Damn, she's cold. "She's cold and pale." North said.

Then I looked at the pendant. It was turning light red. "Look, the pendant. It turns light red. It means that her powers grown weak. She's growing weak too." I said.

"That's right. If all of you were not believed in, and so was Phoebe. Children, when they woke up, they realized, the Toothfairy never came. And, there will be no Christmas or Easter or even little Fairies that come in the night. There would be nothing but fear and darkness. And me. Now it's your turn not to be believed in." Pitch laughed with a snarl.

"Tooth, carry Phoebe." North said. Then all of us attacked. He climb on his nightmare and flew to the nearest hole. We did everything, egg bombs, icicles, boomerangs and swords. But he got away. Tooth carried Phoebe down and we followed her. "We need heat. This will heal her." Tooth said.

"Here." Bunny took a stick and a lighter. Then he flick it and a big fire was on the stick. I took it and let the flames touch her skin. Her eyes flutter open and she coughed. Even though her pupils were red like a vampire, it suits her pretty well. Wait, why am I saying this about her. Ugh. Love at first sight but she was my opposite. "Phoebe! Are you okay?" Tooth said.

"-groan-. What just happened?" she said.

"You know, you really should work on you groaning. It's getting on my nerves." I grinned.

She gave me a look. "I told you. My habbit."

Then she looked at her pendant. She widened her eyes. "The children. I'm losing their faith. What happened?! What happened to their faith?!" she stood up.

"Phoebe. Pitch took the teeth and my fairies. I can't get their teeth without my fairies." Tooth frowned. Man, this is gonna be harder than I thought.
