Ch.17 Ten Weeks

“no no this can’t happen between us your father will kill you and then me! Besides I’m engaged Jack come on there’s no way you and I can be together.”

“Yes there is I know that your marriage isn’t even true it was arranged amongst both of your guys parents just to get more rich." 

“How do you know that I’ve never told you anything about my marriage to you till now?”

“My father kept yelling in his room how he wished he was rich and you were arranged to be his wife."

"Still we can't..we can't date I finally found someone who likes me for me."

"Yeah but Alice didn't you say that when he first met you he didn't want anything to do with you that he even ignored and caused you lots of pain. I just met you too but I accepted you and don't even judge you because we face the same problems but in different situations."-said Jack pulling me into a hug

Maybe Jack is right maybe I should just fall in love with him and forget about Tim anyways he's going to probably stop looking for me sooner or later. Besides Jack is more like me and actually understands the pain I go through unlike Tim. Maybe I will go our with Jack well for now I'll just stay in his arms.

"I'll think about it Jack because you're a great guy but I don't really know who I need or love at this moment okay?"

"Okay take your time but I'll show you my affection as long as a can when my dad isn't here."

"okay..."

"Alice."

"Yeah Jack."

"Why is love so complicated?"

"I don't know Jack I really don't know."

"Me either but I wish it were easy."

*Yawn*

"Me too Jack...me too........"

*TIm's POV*

Great I'm the worst fiance still since I haven't a clue where my bride to be is and no one has any idea what am I going to do. 

You should give up she's not worth it Tim it's just a waste of your time.

That's not true she loved me she said she did. Isn't that why she chose to go on a date with me?

Or maybe she felt pity on the little rich boy or she could've just drugged you and ran away cause really no emo girl wants the popular rich guy they want someone with similar problems. Unfortunately you don't have any so you got left behind.

Shut Up! Shut Up! Shut Up! That's not true she loved me.

Sure she did.

*10 Weeks of Alice Missing*

"Eric I don't have any leads of who could've taken Alice most people just talk trash about her and keep saying maybe she ran away with some other guy who was an outcast. You don't think she did that right Eric? right?"

"Tim I don't know what to tell you. Your fiance has been gone for ten weeks you haven't gotten any clues of who could've taken her I'm starting to believe that maybe she did leave you. I know it's hard to take in but did you guys really have a strong relationship to begin with?"

"I know you think that since we got an arrange marriage that it may play as a key role in seeming that she did run away because she didn't love me but that is a lie why else would she have gone with me to our picnic date."

"Tim you don't know maybe she had this all planned out. She could've thought 'Oh this is my chance to run away from this guy and go with the guy who actually understands me'. I don't know she probably was kidnapped but without any leads I can't do really anything to help you. I'm sorry we are going to close her case until you can find a relevant detail that can help us in finding her."

"Is that it is that really it Eric. It's not my fault no one wants to help me find her. It's not my fault she was seen as the outcast and no one wants to bring her back. Why can't anyone believe me that she was kidnapped and didn't run away."

"Because Tim when have you ever seen that an arrange marriage actually doesn't end up with a divorce. Now I am truly sorry but I can no longer help you so please leave and don't make this matter into something it's not."

After Eric spoke those words I just got up and left I can't believe that even Eric is no longer on my side in finding Alice. First her parents had yelled at me for losing her but in realtiy were happy because they found her a mistake to the family anyways. Second no one even wanted to talk about if Alice had any problems since most people hated her. And finally now my parents want me to marry some senator's daughter in order for our profits to go up aye aye aye my life is surely now a living hell.

*Alice's POV*

Jack has told me it's been ten weeks since I was kidnapped and thinks that the search for me has been cancelled since no one probably knows that I dated his dad before. I'm starting to actually believe him since in reality no one is going to come and get me. It's been ten weeks of somewhat torture and I have finally given up hope that Tim is coming for me.

Most would say I'm dumb to lose faith in that Tim might come for me but come on it's been ten weeks most people would give up searching for you if you were me the emo girl who everyone hates for no good reason. So as of today I'm going to say yes to Jack and leave this place with him.

"Hey Jack."

"Yeah Alice."

"Remember when I said I'd think about that offer you made me after we met."

"Yeah I remember why?"

"Well I've finally made up my mind and I chose you. I finally realized that Tim isn't going to come for me and that in reality I probably never had a chance with that rich boy. After our marriage we would probably get a divorce and I'd live and even more miserable life. So yeah can I be your girlfriend?"

"Oh course and now that you've said yes how about we ditch this place."

"Yeah but how are we going to leave we don't have a car and eveything is glued shut besides the front door but that has soo many locks it'll take us ages to open it."

"Alice, Alice, Alice I'm the only person who has lived here the longest excluding my dad so I do have my own secret ways of coming and going as I please. Now if you would carely follow me to the basement our freedom awaits."

As we walked down to the basement I began to wonder how I didn't agree to this earlier I should've known Tim  was never really in love with me he just was in it for the profit of his family while Jack, Jack he really does love me.

"Alice come on we can't wait by the secret escape door forever."

"Coming."

As soon as I stepped out onto the snowy floor of the forest I breathed in my freedom and did the only thing of could think of doing I kissed Jack.
