A Return of a Lost Spark

She had gotten her ribbon. She had visited Sunnyshore and all that was left to see was Pastoria City. She had made a breif visit to Oreburgh while she was training at Hearthome City. When she had gotten to the gym of Sunnyshore she understood Paul. What kind of gym gives free badges.

In her opinion, Volkner should not be a gym leader. Right now Ash was getting into a fight with a machine. He was saved by an Infernape. It was a good thing she had talked Rowan into giving her a starter pokemon. Her Chimchar was allready training and he was not the only new pokemon she had caught and trained in her spare time.

Following the guy that was friends with Volkner, she and Umbreon stayed quite. When they reached the top they were greeted by a serious Richu who lunched at her new friend. 'Look out !' Ash warned but she saw that he was in no danger. 'Good to see you too. Where your partner ?'

Voltner was a blond sleepy looking man. As she watched she decided to speak,'You are a gym leader and they are supposed to battle, your not doing your purpose,' she stated stiocly, expressionlessly. Completely lost interest in battleing. He stared at thesky,'What a beautiful day, please leave.' with that the two left.

A Cafe

Sipping her tea silently she enjoyed the aroma and the rich taste and texture.  Looking at the sandwiches she said,'Thank you, they look delicious.' She let Ash speak her mind.'He has lost his passion, I wanted to battle him as well.'

Voltner was listening to them talk when Flint asked him how long he was their she said,'He's been here since the begging.' Sipping her tea she listened. When the nice man said that Flint should battle Ash she spoke,'I would like to battle as well. I'm no push over.'

Ash was getting to battle Flint first, lucky. A three on three battle. Flint used Infernape while Ash used Weasel. Weasel lost by one attack so now Infernape vs. a smaller Infernape. Volkner was still not interested at all. Infernape lost by a real Mock Punch. Now it was Pikachu's turn, the determined electric type used Quick Attack.

Flint seemed excited and spoke of taking it up a notch. When Ash lunged and used his body as a shield for his pokemon she sensed something coming from the gym leader, he seemed to remember.

Pikachu went down but it did take a long time. Smiling she hopped out of her seat and took Ash's placed. Smiling she said,'I was hoping of keeping this guy a secret.' Smiling she withdrew a poke ball. 'Come on out !' In a flash came out a shiny garados, a red one. It roared mightily. 'When did she get that ?' Ash asked.

'Hydro Pump !' Infernape dodged so she yelled,'Dragon Rage !' It hit their target. In the end a Mock Punch finished it off. Her Luxio came out determined. 'Bolt Tackle !' In the end the more experienced electric type lasted longer. Smiling she said,'Umbreon, go get them !' Stepping fore ward she ordered,'Shadow Ball, Double Team !' Several Umbreons appeared and surrounded the fire type. Still standing from her hit she ordered,'Psychic !' It had slightly damaged. 'Confusion Ray !' Flint had had his pokemon on defense but this made is Pokemon confused.

Stepping around uncertainly the fire type was in trouble. Smiling victoriously she yelled,'Faint Attack !' and it did. Smiling she praised her pokemon. Finished with her battle

Volkner had gotten his spark back again, she could tell by his posture.
