I've never in my life skipped school, but now that this random handsome stranger has come along, I'm doing it for the first time and my aunt is surprisingly completely okay with it.Before I left this morning she told me that she would call me in sick so I wouldn't have to worry about getting back to school on time. I told her not too as I have a maths test later but she already did it and it would seem kinda suspicious if she were to take all she said about me back.
I look up from the ground to see Harry walking towards the bus stop with a bright smile on his face. Today he's dressed pretty casual, with only a black loosely fitted top and a pair of black jeans. We walk towards each other until we stop at a few inches apart.
"Hey." He smiles as he shoves his hands inside his pockets.
"Hi" I laugh as I push my short hair behind me ears.
"Are you ready to go?" He questions.
"I'm ready yes but I'm still completely uncertain as to where it is we're going?" I chuckle as I follow him back up the path he came down.
"Ahh, would you like to know where you're going?" He asks me and I frown as I think about his very simple question.
"No-" I conclude. "No actually I don't, let it be a surprise." I grin.
Harry sends me a fond smile before we continue off down the path.

We soon arrive at this brightly lit, pink and black building, that has windows that are uniquely covered in stickers of musical icons like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The neon pink sign that hangs above our heads reads 'Delilahs' and I look over to Harry grinning madly.
He leads the way inside and I almost fall onto the ground at how amazing it looks. Why have I never been to this place? Me and my best friend wander around this area in Liverpool all the time and I've never once seen this place on our journeys.
The decor is so great, with baby pink walls, black wooden floors, cream bar stools and a black glittery counter. The booths are a mixture of pink and black to match the rest of the decor and pretty little fairy lights are strung around the back of the sofas.
On some of the walls there are more large stickers and posters of Pink Floyd and The Doors are stuck on the ceiling. There is even a corner of the room solely dedicated too music, with stacks of cds and records.
I feel like I have the look of Annie on my face right now, you know the scene where she first visits the Warbucks home? Yeah, I feel like this place is my own little version of paradise.
"Harry this is so cool!" I squeal as I look around the place. "How long has this been here?"
"Ages! I'm surprised you've never been before to be fair. I come quite a lot with my brother Jack."
I nod and walk over to a table at the back thats near the record player stand. "Can we sit here?" I ask, sounding like an actual child.
Harry laughs. "Yeah sure, I'll go and order drinks. What would you like?"
I hum quietly to myself as I pick up the menu from the table. "Um, the Oreo Milkshake thingy." I smile. "Please."
"Alright-" he smiles a dimpled smile. "I'll be right back." As he starts walking away I grab my purse from my bag and take out a fiver to cover for my drink.
I lift up and look over to the counter to see Harry looking over at me with a frown. His eyes travel down to the fiver I have on the table and he raises a brow. I shrug and he shakes his head with a small laugh before grabbing our drink from the young guy behind the counter.
He comes back over to the table and places my huge chocolate concoction in front of me. I slide him the fiver and he looks at me sternly.
"I paid for them its fine." He says as he sips his milkshake.
"Are you sure?" I ask, and he nods quickly before pushing the fiver back over to me. "Fine, thank you." I smile and put the note back into my pocket.
"So-" Harry starts once he's swallowed. "Tell me about yourself." He grins.
"Um-" I say with a nervous laugh. "Theres not much to say really. Urm, my parents were murdered when I was 10, then I moved here with my aunt and uncle, but then my uncle was killed a few years back in a car chase. My aunt and I are super close and she's more like a sister to me than anything else. Um, school life has been pretty shit so far, I only really have one friend; Rachel, she's so amazing! She's literally just like me, well not just like me, she's like the total opposite to me when it comes to looks. She has this big puffy blonde hair that she always keeps back with that sodden green bandana. Oh and she's so tiny, she literally only comes up to my elbow! But yeah, aside from that we're twins. We both like the same bands, we both fancy the balls off of Elvis and Jim Morrison, we both love reading romance novels, oh and we both wish our lives were like John Hughes movies!" I laugh and I look up to see Harry looking at me with a look I can't exactly read. "I'm rambling. Ew." I slump down into my chair and cover my face with my giant milkshake glass.
"Lilah theres nothing wrong with being overly excited to talk to me." Harry says in kind of a mocking tone, I slide the glass back along so I can see his face and I raise a brow. He's smirking like mad and I want nothing more than too throw my bloody drink all over his perfectly perfect face.
"Big headed ." I say knowingly as I cross over my arms.
"Someones a bit of a rambler." He chuckles.
"Hey, I don't mean to be it just kinda of happens! I start talking and then I just feel like I need to explain every part of what I'm saying so that the person I'm speaking too fully understands what I'm trying to get at, like I wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong idea from what I'm trying to say. You know?" I sigh, letting out a long breath.
Harry goes silent, the smirk still on his pink lips. I did it again didn't I?
"Ahh fucking hell." I groan as he starts laughing hysterically and throw a napkin at him only to watch it swiftly fall off the table.
"You're so good at rambling though! Maybe you should take it up as a possible career option?" Harry says in a serious tone yet I know he's kidding.
"Sod off!" I stress with a small laugh.
Harry chuckles before putting his hand over mine. "Awh don't get upset." He jokingly wobbles his bottom lip. I roll my eyes . "No seriously though I'm sorry and anyway I happen to find the rambling highly endearing." He winks and I feel my face light up.
And I just giggle. I fucking giggle.
