Today was the only busy day of the week. The other days flew by because of Astrid and I talking all the time. But today she didn't work, neither did Stephen. So I was bored and busy.
I woke up feeling like I needed a walk so I walked to work. It was a short walk so I didn't mind.
Every Friday is the day it gets packed. Most families come and have a nice family time. Groups of friends come and just laugh and have the best time.
I know it sounds creepy but, I observe everything. I love watching how everyone interacts and how they create many beautiful memories over simple ice cream.
I quickly stopped staring and looked over the door smiling. A familiar person came in but I couldn't seem to remember where I have seen the before.
Then it hit me. It was that one life guard guy from the beach last week. I smiled at him.
"Well, what a coincidence!" I said laughing at him. He stopped looking at the menu and looked up at me. He looked shocked.
"Oh my god! You are that girl from the beach who's towel flew away. And your name what was it?" I was about to answer him when he spoke.
"Luna! How could I forget such a beautiful name." My smile widened by his compliment.
"Yes, that is my name, and thank you. You are Shawn, right?"
"Yup, that's me!"
"Well Shawn, what would you like?" I said while waving my hand towards all the ice creams.
"Your number and a chocolate ice cream. Oh and three scoops please." I stood there shocked by his answer.
"Chocolate it is," I said smiling widely I put his ice cream in a cup. I looked up at him to see he was staring at me.
"Take a picture, it will last longer hun," I said laughing at him.
"Sorry." He said blushing and looking down at his feet.
"It's fine. I can't help I'm so interesting." I said sarcastically while flipping my pony tail. Shawn started laughing.
"I'm just kidding. I'm not interesting at all." I said chuckling.
"You seem interesting," Shawn said smiling. I blushed, what I never blush in front of guys. No guy has ever complimented me before. I shrugged.
"Thanks, Shawny boy," I said while handing him his ice cream cup.
"Shawny boy?" Shawn said confused while laughing.
"Yep!" He handed me a five dollar bill and I shook my head and pushed the money back to him.
"It's on the house, don't worry about it," I said smiling.
"Thank you!" Shawn said while I grabbed a napkin and wrote my number on it. He watched me confused. I handed it back to Shawn and smiled. He looked at it and smiled at me.
"Your number!" He smirked.
"Yep."
"When is your shift over?" I looked at my watch,
"I get off in 10 minutes," I respond.
"Great I will wait for you outside and we can talk after if you don't mind." I smiled and nodded.
"I would love that, Shawn."
I clocked out after my shift ended and grabbed some vanilla ice cream for myself. I also decided to grab another cup of chocolate ice cream if Shawn wanted.
I made my way outside and looked around. I finally spotted Shawn sitting at a small table next to the shop. He looked up from his book and he smiled at me. I made my way towards him.
