Poem VII

2 1 1

"stay right where you are"

And all after she had left

while I am hiding in these comforting curtains

you were mumbling something

out of my reach

"can I go to you?"

not to give you a bucket

or a wind to dry your tears

let me just hear what you speak

let me just hear your grief

let me hear your voice

out of some misery

out of this storming rage

out of your lips.

I'm watching you

With my eyes unblinking

While everything was pouring

You sat down

In your grey seas

You made your eyes to sleep

You sob with no tears

May I ask

"what is love now to you?

Do you now fear it?

Do you now regret it?

Do you now wanted to kill it?

Or do you still

wanted

the very thought of it?

For it was unfair to hate love

Because hate and love

They were different species of time

But they were born of us

It was marveled in our bones

And it was our choice to know

What kind of species

Will we choose for our time?

But I must tell you

Breathe, my dear stranger

It was love who gave you pain

But you can love the rain

Without regret

Even if you will soon get sick

Because hurting

It was the beautiful contrast of healing

And what's better of us to not get scarred and still live?

Living

And

Dying

We could stay right where we are with it

Or just leave it that way."

I put my hands between our barrier

Between my aging fingers

Fitting you in my wrinkled veins

She left you

And I can't tell how much you've been hurt

But with you crumpling that shirt of yours

To keep the pain inside your chest to stop

Never take away that love

No matter how the world took your soul

I'm keeping it

Beyond the death of my whole

Let me stay right where I keep you

Between this fragile heart of mine

I will dance with you.
