Run Away With Me

   I lied  on the cold, hard floor not daring to move a muscle. I stayed there for about an hour until I realized I had to cook dinner. I got up slowly, wincing as I got a sharp pain in my side. I reluctantly walked to the cabinets as pain jolted up and down my body. This was definitely the worst beating I have had in a while. I went threw the fridge and noticed I had no food to cook. There were literary no groceries whatsoever. I then made my way up to my dad's room. Sure enough he was passed out on the bed. I grabbed his car keys and some money from his nightstand. I don't know where he gets money due to the fact that he has been unemployed for about a month now. I walked out of the door and made my way to his car.

   Life would be so much easier if I had my own car.

   As I was driving to the store, I saw a guy who was sitting on the road.  Luckily this road wasn't busy. I know I shouldn't do this but I had a gut feeling that this was the right thing to do, plus he was blocking the road. I parked my car on the side of the road and made my way towards him. As I stepped closer I was met by a face that I new instantly. Grayson.

   "Hey..." he said.

   "Salena" I said.

   "Yeah. Anyways why are you here? You aren't stalking me right." He said humorlessly. I studied him. His eyes were puffy and his skin was paler than usual.

   "No of course not. I just saw a person in the middle of the road and decided to make sure they were ok. You were also blocking the road and I didn't want to run you over. Why are you here?"

   " Where are you going?" He asked clearly avoiding my question.

   " To the grocery store. So I'm going to ask again. Why are you here?"

   " I'm afraid I can't tell you that." he said while not making eye contact.

   " Well then I m afraid I'm going to have to go." I said.

   As I was about to walk away, Grayson grabbed my wrist and  blurted " Run away with me"
