Heaven

As I took out my dress I thought to myself, how did my life turn upside down. A month has passed since she died. It was a sad and terrible tragedy. She was going to the grocery store when she got into an accident. She was trying to avoid hitting Grayson. She ran into a tree and killed herself instead of him.

"Elizabeth!" my mother called breaking my train of thought.

"Yes?" I questioned already dreading the answer.

"Its time to go." I threw on my dress not caring about my appearance. Life wasn't as good without your best friend alongside you. I missed her a lot.

"Coming." I answered as I slipped on my flats and headed towards the car.

As I took my seat, I noticed that the church was filled with her mom's side of the family, but none of her dad's. I also saw Grayson's side of the family, or what was left of it. After her death, Grayson was found dead in his bathroom lying next to an empty container of pills. Ethan and him would be buried next to each other tomorrow.

After a couple of words were spoken about her, it was time for everybody to say their goodbyes. I hesitantly walked up there. I looked at her face and sobbed. Gone was the joyous face that greeted me every morning. It hurt to look at her and know that she would never get to truly live. I kissed her forehead and whispered, "Goodbye Salena."

I looked over at Grayson's face. We finally made it to our destination. We were greeted with familiar faces, Ethan, and... my mom! I ran to her and asked

"Why are you here... I thought you were dead." but I already knew the answer.

" I think you know why." Somehow I always knew that this was too perfect to be real life. I turned to look at Grayson, and saw him hugging his brother.

I walked over to Grayson and said." You knew that I was dead. I just don't understand."

Grayson kissed my forehead, "Lets not let the past drag us down. That is why were here. We're here to be happy."

I looked around at my mom, Grayson, and even Ethan and realized that I was in fact happy. I then realized that our destination was not California, it was Heaven.

I Hoped you guys enjoyed. I was trying to experiment with my writing. I am truly sorry for how cringey this really was but hopefully I learn from this. Thank you again for reading this. I also plan on creating other stories as well.
