"Uh hey mum." I smiled sheepishly as I looked over at her to see her arms crossed over her chest, a stern expression on her face.
"Don't hey mum me. Where the hell have you been? Do you know how worried I've been!?" She exclaimed and I sighed running a hand through my hair.
"Sorry." I apologized as I looked down at the floor.
"Sorry isn't good enough, I was so close to calling the police, where have you been?" She questioned.
"I was with Ashton's family." I answered.
"Ashton? That boy you had a crush on when you were younger?" She questioned, her eyebrow raised and I blushed before nodding my head.
"You two weren't up to anything that would lead to me having grandchildren? Because as much as I do want them, you're way too young for that." She stated and my eyes widened.
"Mum!" I shouted in embarrassment, making her laugh.
"I'm very disappointed that you couldn't give me a call to let me know you were okay, so you're grounded for 2 weeks." She stated and I sighed nodding my head.
"I've got to go to work now, make sure the house is tidy also." She stated and I nodded as I watched her leave, walking past me as she opened the door heading out.
"Also have your boyfriend come over for dinner tonight, I want to meet him." She stated, shutting the door closed before I had a chance to reply.
Great. We weren't even official. I still didn't know if I even wanted to be official. Everything was so weird, finding out that werewolves existed, that Ashton actually liked me, seeing him turn into a wolf was the weirdest experience in my life, and I had no idea how to wrap my head around that.
Grabbing my phone from my pocket, I scrolled through my contacts to see that I still had Ashton's old phone number.
Sending him a quick text to see if he still used it, my heart fluttered as he replied back within a few seconds.
Hey beautiful - Ashton
You can totally say no, but my mum wants to meet you, so she wants you over for dinner tonight. - Me
A few minutes passed and I bit my lip as I waited for the reply, feeling nervous of his reply.
Meeting the parents huh? Kind of quick don't you think? - Ashton.
Stupid Emily, of course it was too early, I groaned as I hit my head with my phone.
Oh yeah, you're right. Sorry for asking. - Me
Sighing, I ran a hand through my hair.
I was joking, I'll see you at 6. - Ashton
My heart skipped a beat, and I smiled at my phone before saying a quick reply.
Luckily for me, today was Sunday so there was no need for school, going over to the kitchen, I opened the fridge grabbing the milk, before going over to the pantry and grabbing the cereal, pouring it into a bowl and then the milk.
Grabbing my phone and the bowl, I walked over to the lounge, sitting on the couch while I turned the TV on.
Just as I put a mouthful of food into my mouth, my phone started to ring.
Answering it with a muffled reply that sound like 'humph' instead of 'hey'.
"Hi! So it feels like forever since I last saw you, and I'm in need of some new clothes, so your going to come shopping with me?" Sky shouted through the phone making me groan at the loud of voice screaming through my ear.
