"Out of my way, Deku! Quirk-less babies like you aren't allowed here!" A loud, booming yell from a young boy nearby snapped, shoving Izuku to the right to get past him.
"K-Kacchan!" The smaller boy yelped, falling over and landing on his side, which caused the dust on the ground around him to fly up and cloud the air for a moment. Izuku coughed a few times, raising his now dirt-smeared face so that his soft, jade gaze could meet a fiery, red one. Before Izuku stood a blond boy, who's hair spiked in different directions. His clothes consisted of a black t-shirt and some grey shorts. He wore a scowl on his face, looking down on poor Izuku as if he were his prey.
"Shut it, Deku, you should have gotten out of a /true/ hero's way!" The boy called 'Kacchan' said with a snort, turning his head and crossing his arms over his chest in a defiant manner. Izuku blinked, looking up at the fierce boy for a moment. His real name was Katsuki Bakugou, though Izuku preferred to call him his nickname, Kacchan. The name 'Deku' was a nickname that Bakugou had given to Izuku, more or less to make fun of him, though Izuku never denied usage the name except for one time. Deku heaved a sigh and pulled himself up into a sitting position, brushing off the light green shirt he was wearing, along with a pair of khaki colored shorts that he had on.
"Did you just get here, Kacchan? Where are your other friends?" Deku questioned the other, looking back over at him and blinking softly. Bakugou jumped slightly, his eyes widening when he realized that Izuku was talking to him now. He immediately snapped his eyes in the smaller boy's direction, rolling them as he did.
"How am I supposed to know, stupid? I'm not their damn mother," Bakugou responded with an angry mumble, kicking at the ground with his red and white sneaker. Deku collected himself and picked himself up, blinking confusedly at the response. That was such a weird response from Kacchan, he would usually yell at him.. not mumble. The green-haired boy decided to leave it go and flashed the other a smile.
"Well, that's too bad, Kacchan! Since you don't have anyone to play with today, do you wanna maybe play with me instead?" Izuku asked with a hopeful tone, his eyes now shining in excitement. He had always looked up to Bakugou, especially after Bakugou developed his quirk: explosions! He wanted to get an awesome quirk like Bakugou's, he wanted to have a cool superpower like he did! The blond boy immediately uncrossed his arms, seemingly revolted by the request from Izuku. This made the other frown sadly, wondering if Bakugou wouldn't want to play with him again, even when his group of friends wasn't at the park.
"Play with a wannabe hero like you?" Bakugou asked in a low voice, raising his hands up slightly almost as if he was going to go after Deku with an explosion. This caused Deku's eyes to widen, and his figure to go stiff. Instead, Bakugou lowered his hands to his sides and balled them into fists, then closed his eyes tightly, almost as if the next thing he was going to say would completely destroy his ego.
"Yeah, whatever, I'll play with you, Deku," The angry boy muttered through clenched teeth as he reopened his crimson colored eyes, a fierce look in them. It took all of Izuku's willpower to keep himself from flinching at the glare Bakugou sent at him, almost as if he wanted to go after him and strangle him! Deku forced a small, wary smile at Bakugou and took a step forward, extending a shaky hand.
"W-Well.. L-Let's go play, K-Kacchan!" He spoke as determinedly as he could, though his stutter gave away his fear. Bakugou stared at the other's hand for a long moment, contemplating whether or not if he should take the quirk-less kid's hand. Rolling his eyes he snatched Deku's outstretched hand and quickly began to drag him down the dirt path which was behind him.
"I'll play, as long as it's by /my/ rules, not your idiot ones!" Bakugou snapped, keeping his gaze away from a surprised Izuku's. Bakugou hadn't told Izuku this, but he had lied and told his friends that he wasn't going to the park that day.. So, that's why none of his friends showed up. He wanted to be alone with Deku that day, just himself and the smaller boy.
