Painted with Blood {Complete}

Wally West had never thought Batman would actually send the team on a mission with such a high chance of dying but here they were in an abandoned orphanage, on a mission where they could possibly die. Thanks Bats.

The whole team felt like they were being watched as they moved quietly through the building, laughter floated through the building every few minutes sounding closer every time but it was like Robin's laugh: impossible to find where it came from.

Then someone dropped from the rafters, they appeared to be a girl, exactly as Batman described. There could be no mistaking who this was. The girl was around 4'2 ft with sloppily cut, short black hair. She wore a black button up shirt that went to her mid thigh and black tights that reached her mid calf. Around her waist was a little belt with an assortment of knives and guns held in it. It looked heavy, but the way she stood told Wally that she would disagree.

She had dropped from the rafters a mischievous look in her eyes and a smile that craved blood. Wally only just noticed the permanent red tint to her hands and blood splattered on her face. She let out a familiar spine chilling cackle and pulled a pair of pistols out from her belt.

"Hello, sheep" she giggled "have you come to die?" Her voice was sickly sweet but she seemed to be around the age of ten. She clearly was as mental as Batman said and that put Wally on edge.

Kaldur cleared his throat, "We have been sent to subdue you. This will be your only chance to come with us peacefully"

Wally had a feeling Kaldur should not have said that when she started laughing again. "No no no. You have come because you want to die, I shall grant your wish"

The girl raised her guns and fired. Everyone dived out of the way to avoid the bullets coming out of Painter's pistols. They had all figured out who she was, covered in blood, mental, creepy, guns, definitely Painter.

Robin used a grappling hook to boost him up onto the rafters to hide in the shadows, Artemis hid behind some metal shield thing, Aqualad used his water bearers to shield himself Miss Martian went to camouflage mode and flew up near Robin and Wally was speeding around dodging bullets.

Can we just hurry up and get rid of her? Artemis said shooting an arrow at Painter

Fine, Wally take her guns Robin ordered

Sighing and dodging bullets Wally ran towards Painter and took her pistols. Painter screamed in frustration as she jumped out of the way of an arrow.

"I hate you all, I will kill you dead!"

Wally would have snickered at her words if she didn't look so terrifying. Painter grabbed at her belt, pulling out a pair of knives, then, with knives in hand, she climbed a wooden support beam to the rafters.

When she made it up her furious gaze searched for the two people hiding and stepped forward menacingly when she saw them. Then she started leaping from rafter to rafter with a blood thirsty look in her eyes.

"Time to die" she sung in a whisper "Time to die"

Artemis tried to shoot her with arrows but she couldn't hit Painter. Aqualad couldn't reach her with his water bearers so Wally ran up a support beam and tackled Painter back to the floor. The force of the tackle and the impact of the landing knocked her out.

"Let's get Painter back to Batman" Aqualad instructed the team as he slung her over his shoulder. He started walking towards the exit of the building. The team recovered their wits and followed.
