The Final circus trick

"Okay, so like who's your favourite villain?" I questioned.

"You've been asking me questions non stop for half an hour now!" Bruce smirked.

"Hey I'm a curious guy! Anyway, is it Joker? I bets its Joker!" I laughed spinning around in a chair in the bat cave.

"That's for me to know and for you to never find out!" Bruce exclaimed happily.

Before I could ask another question Alfred came down the stairs.

"Master Bruce. Master Richard. Dinner is ready." I watched as Bruce made his way up the stairs and I quickly jumped up following him. I took one last look around the bat cave before being led into a large dining room.

In the middle a huge table stood proudly. It could sit like a hundred people around it.

Alfred pointed at a seat next to Bruce which I quickly sat down on swinging my legs back and forth excitedly.

Alfred then brought out the meal and we began to eat in comfortable silence.

Half way through dinner Bruce suddenly cleared his throat.

"Alfred would you mind leaving us for a moment?" Bruce asked sending a knowing smile towards Alfred.

"Of course" he responded leaving the table and making his way toward the exit.

After the door had shut Bruce turned his attention towards me.

"So, Richard, I want to ask you a question." Bruce stated.

I looked at him nodding my head slightly.

" Now I don't want you getting the wrong idea. I'm not replacing your parents, it's just I was wondering... would you like to live with me?" Bruce stated calmly.

I looked at him with a blank expression. All types of things were going through my head.
Happiness. Excitement. Joy. I felt it all.

But at the same time I had so many questions. My brain failed to fully comprehend the question that had been asked so I continued to stare blankly at Bruce.

I must have zoned out for a while as Bruce looked awkward before clearing his throat.

"You don't have to.." he began.

I suddenly jumped up look at him and smiling brightly.

"Are you sure? I mean! Wow! I mean, should I, well I don't know! Are you sure, like, wow." I rambled.

"Of course I'm sure." He deadpanned.

"Then yes! Yes! Of course I will!" I laughed happily!

"Great! Why don't you go find Alfred! He'll show you to your room."

I quickly nod sending another smile towards Bruce.

I run excitedly towards the door Alfred had exited through pausing just before I left. I looked to wards the floor shyly.
"T-thank you." I whispered before running out and finding Alfred.
