Chapter seven finding Grievous

-The Endurance bridge-

Rath entered the bridge of the Endurance as it left Hypori's orbit. He turned to his admiral who saluted, and was told to be at ease, "Admiral, have you established contact with Shaak ti?" Rath asked, "Yes sir, I should tell you that the Jedi Council is on the line as well." the admiral replied, Rath closed his eyes, he knew this was an eventuality, he looked at Zero and nodded, turning back to the admiral, "Patch me through then, it's time I introduce myself, set course to Kamino admiral." Rath ordered, "already done sir, we should be there within the hour." he replied, Rath nodded, before entering the com room, [We're getting scattered reports that Hypori was retaken.] Mace Windu said, Rath was listening to their conversation, before he pressed the call button, [Last I checked we didn't have any ships in that system, but someone or something managed to drive the Sith off that planet.] Obi-Wan said, this time Rath spoke up, "I believe I'm responsible for the Hypori raid." he said catching the two Jedi's attention, they looked at him shocked but they thought he was another cyborg, [GRIEVOUS!? Since when did you join the Republic?] Obi-Wan exclaimed, Rath rolled his eyes, "You're not talking to Grievous wiseguy..." Rath snarked, this caused Shaak ti to snicker at Kenobi who was reeling from the insult, [Master Kenobi, master Windu, meet Rath dal'Sheelal, he was sent to Hypori to retake it from the Sith, on my orders.] she said, Windu looked at Rath closer, and saw some differences between him and Grievous, [So you're responsible for taking Hypori, do you have-] "Their lightsabers?" Rath interjected, "Their right here." he pulled out the saberpod, as it opened Obi-Wan saw the lightsabers all had the same appearance that matched certain high ranking Sith Lords, [These sabers belonged to Rethari Talon and Ravage...well, I'm certainly impressed General, not bad.] the Jedi said, Rath noticed how serious the three were, "Something's troubling you three, someone get captured?" he asked, catching two of the three Jedi off guard, Windu then spoke up, [You have good instincts to be able to see distress from a hologram, General.] he said, Rath nodded, " Ha! I don't need the Force to know what's going on, ask Shaak ti she knows." Rath said, Shaak ti nodded, [Rath was a marksman, before his...accident on Kalee.] she said sadly, Rath then spoke up, "Hey don't blame yourself, I knew what I was doing... besides you saved my life by giving me this body, at any rate who needs rescuing generals? My men and I are ready to deploy." he said, Obi-Wan smirked it would be nice to have their very own Grievous on their side, [We're heading for the Salucami system, where master Eeth Koth is being held by Grievous, you'll meet us there a-] "Us?" Rath asked, Obi-Wan understood his confusion, [Me, my old padawan Anakin Skywalker, and Jedi master Adi Gallia, and you should you come along.] he said smirking, "You wound me Kenobi, I'm insulted that you think so little of me..." [That's not what I-] Obi-Wan began "Relax wiseguy it was a joke..." Rath deadpanned, Shaak ti was laughing quietly, while Windu gave an amused headshake, Obi-Wan caught on a second later, [Oh well then, we'll meet you there, one more thing what does your ship look like?] he asked, Rath smirked under his mask, "She's called the Endurance, look for the big Republic cruiser with 50 engines and about 1,000 heavy turrets." he said, "And before you say 'someone's overcompinsating' I didn't design this thing, the Kaminoans did." Obi-Wan nodded, [Very well, we'll see you there then.] Kenobi said, "I'll send someone ahead to meet you and your fleet, you can trust him." Rath replied, turning off the projector he turned and called Zero, "Change of destination commander, set a course to Salucami, and ready a ship for my droid, tell him to head to Obi-Wan's fleet, no delays this time..." he ordered, <He's already enroute general.> the Death Trooper said, "Good, then set those new coordinates and prepare to jump to hyperspace." Rath said, Zero nodded and the coordinates were punched into the navicomputer, the Endurance then entered hyperspace, and left Hypori,

-Resolute hanger bay-

Anakin Gallia and Obi-Wan entered the hanger of the Resolute, having been briefed about the existence of Rath, Anakin and Gallia were confident with their chances of capturing Grievous, "Let's just hope that the Clone he sent is good in a fight." Anakin said, the walkway into his ship opened and all three Jedi were surprised to see a droid inside doing something to the ship, "Who are you? It would be in your best interest to identify yourself." Obi-Wan said, the droid turned to face the three Jedi and introduced itself [I'm K-2SO.] K-2 introduced himself, Anakin was shocked at how well put together the droid was, "What kind of droid are you? I've never seen your model before..." the Jedi knight asked, K-2 answered Anakin's question [I'm a T-15 model battle/strategy analysis droid, my creator General Rath has sent me to aid you.] K answered [Your objective is to free master Eeth Koth and capture General Grievous by using your ship General Kenobi correct?] Obi Wan was impressed at this droid's ability to analyze strategies, "That's correct." he said, [That is a bad idea, I think so and so do your friends behind you.] K-2 stated, Obi-Wan looked at Anakin and Gallia, the looks were all he needed to see the droid was telling the truth, [But what do I know? I'm just an analysis droid that's outfitted for combat scenarios.] the droid finished, "Well I'm sure this mission will go down swimmingly." Obi-Wan said sarcastically, [Oh yes Lets all braid our hair while we're at it, that will be fun.] K-2 replied, "That was sarcasm..." the Jedi deadpanned, [Yes I'm fully aware I'm quite fluent in sarcasm as well as over 7,000,000 forms of alien languages.] K snarked, at this point Anakin and Gallia were dying of laughter seeing Obi-Wan get out trolled by a logistics droid was by far the funniest thing they've seen all day, [But we have a mission to complete so let's get going I've been asigned to assist general Skywalker in this rescue/potential suicide mission...honestly I'm not very optimistic about our chances of capturing Grievous.] With that said they jumped to Salucami, Anakin Gallia and K-2 stayed behind until they got the green light,

-Salucami orbit-

Grievous entered the bridge of the Eradicater and took a glance at Eeth Koth, (Capturing a Jedi Councillor was too easy. It's laughable.) the General thought, one of the battle droids got a ping on his panel's radar, [Uh sir, there's a large object coming out of hyperspace.] the droid reported, as soon as he finished that sentence said object appeared, in the form of a massive Republic cruiser that rivaled the Malevolence in size scope and firepower, the Endurance was already prepared for combat, as the guns on it fired at Grievous's surounding frigates, Grievous growled in annoyance, <Fire back!> he ordered, the droids couldn't, [Uh our weapon systems are badly damaged General, we're defenseless!] The droid said, on the Endurance Zero went to Rath and reported the enemy's status to him, <Sir the enemy's shields are down, and their weapon systems badly damaged awaiting your orders sir.> the Death Trooper commander reported, "Prepare a boarding party, I'll lead them myself, in the meantime contact general Kenobi, tell him we're ready for their arrival, admiral deploy the fleet!" Rath ordered, the fleet was deployed as liberator-class cruisers were let loose from the Endurance's hanger,

-Resolute bridge-

Obi-Wan received a transmission from the Endurance and was coming out of hyperspace in a smaller escort-class frigate, into a full blown space battle, ARCC-170 starfighters were fighting off vulture droids and shooting them down, Kenobi had to admit Rath's strategy was pretty solid, and a bit unorthodox, then he saw the Endurance, it was massive to say the least, and it was large enough to hold a small fleet in it, as Grievous's ship locked onto Obi-Wan's ship, it was ensnared with a tractor beam, however on the ship elsewhere, Rath and his boarding party had arrived, blasting the droids Rath using his own blaster, after a few minutes of fighting their L.Z was secured, <Hanger secured sir.> a Death Trooper said, "Stay and make sure it stays that way Captain." Rath ordered, <Yes sir!> the trooper said, Rath then went to find Grievous, meanwhile Anakin Gallia and K-2 came out of hyperspace, and landed in the belly side airlock, they entered the ship, and K-2 saw that the droids were on alert, as blaster fire and scattered shouting could be heard, [Looks like Rath got here first.] the droid said, "Then let's not let him have all the fun, let's go Rex." Anakin said, "Yes sir." Captain Rex replied, as the small squad of 501st Clones exited the tube they in through, Anakin turned to K-2 "Stay with the ship K this may be our only way out of here." he said, as the others ran off to help Rath's boarding party, [Why do I always get the boring jobs.] K-2 said to himself, on Obi-Wan's frigate Grievous had cut through the door and kicked it down, but before his Magnaguards could surround Kenobi two shots rang out from behind the droid General, hitting the guards in the head, Grievous turned to face this new pest, what he got was a kick to the face that sent him flying back, Obi-Wan looked up and saw Rath stepping into the frigate, a commado droid jumped at him but was grabbed and held dangling, "General Kenobi, a pleasure to meet you in person." Rath said before crushing the droid's head with his bare hands, "Indeed, your timing is perfect, so do you want to engage Grievous, or shall I?" Obi-Wan asked, Rath drew two of his lightsabers and ignited them, "He's mine, troopers block his escape!" he shouted, they did so, as Grievous drew his own lightsabers, both circled each other, <The Jedi send a mimic to do their job!?> the general shouted, "What gives you the right to call me a mimic, General? Far as I'm concerned you're just a droid who thinks himself a Sith...sad really." Rath retorted, this earned some snickering from the Clones, Grievous however wasn't amused, <It seems your sense of humor hasn't changed since I last saw you!> he said, this caused Rath to stop, what did Grievous mean by 'since I last saw you'? "What are you talking about? Who are you really?" he asked, Grievous chuckled darkly, <I think you know...brother.> he said, Rath's eyes widened in shock as he realized who Grievous was, "QUEILAN!!?"
