Cory, Ashlie and Tommy were waiting outside Nick and Uni's house. Today was their last day of living in America. Uni and his family, the Comics, had adopted Nick at the age of 3, and came from the UK. They had lived there for two years now, but needed to go back to England. Tommy was about to ring the door bell again when Ashlie turned around and said to him,
"Awww, can little Tommy not wait for Uni to come to the door?" She said, once again teasing him for being the second youngest in the group, only before the 5 year old Nick.
"Ashlie, will you shut up? It's not like you're the oldest either! That's Uni." Tommy said, starting to get annoyed at Ashlie's constant teasing.
"So? I don't ca-"
"Will the both of you just shut up and stop fighting this one time? It's Nick and Uni's last day here for probably ages, so can we at least make it a good last day for the both of them? Then tomorrow you can pull each others throats out, k?" Cory semi-shouted, reminding Ashlie and Tommy that it was indeed Nick and Uni's last day. They both nodded to Cory and shook hands with each other. Just as that had finished, the door of the Comics' house opened, and there in the doorway was Uni, holding Nick's hand.
"Hey guys! Nick's gonna be joining us today if that's OK?" Everyone nodded and Ashlie knelt down to pick up Nick. She was Nick's favourite in the group, even tied with Uni.
The 5 of them went on a long walk around the neighbourhood and chatted until Uni's phone started ringing. It was 5pm and time for him and Nick to go get ready for the plane ride to England. Everyone hugged and tears were shed as Uni carried the exhausted Nick back to their house.
"Do you think they're ever gonna come back?" Ashlie said in between weeps.
"I don't know Ashlie... I really don't know." Cory said in a solemn voice.
"I hope they do. They brought out the best in us." Tommy said in a rather inspiring voice.
"Deep much Tommy?" Cory pointed out.
"Maybe." With that the two went to comfort Ashlie and headed to their homes. 7, 8 and 9 Lavender Avenue.
