The one sight Star prayed would never actually unfold, was right in front of her. She ran off as fast as she could with tears filling her eyes. She didn't care that school wasn't even over yet, she just wanted to die. Star raced home, faster than a raging bull, only to plop down on her bed and cry.
She hated Jackie.
She HATED HER.
It was friendship Thursday, and Marco got home from school worried about Star, the last time Marco saw her was in fifth period, before the kiss. He called from downstairs, "Staaaar, where are you Staaaar?" He faintly heard a sniffle come from Star's room. Then the door opened. "I'll be right there Marco!" She said in the happiest tone she could speak in.
(Time skip of 1:30 min)
Marco called Star down for the friendship Thursday movie night, and Star came downstairs with a smile on her face. She knew she couldn't tell Marco how she was feeling, but she needed someone to comfort her. She thought about her options and decided to call an emergency friend meeting. Marco let Star choose the movie, and she chose "serendipity" a movie about a couple who begin searching for each other years after the night they first met, fell in love, and separated, convinced that one day they'd end up together. After the movie ended, star headed upstairs and sat on her bed with her phone in her hand, it read "call emergency friend meeting" she stared at it for a bit before deciding.
"Beep" the phone went, sending out emergency friend notifications.
