chapter 11

Jades POV

Me and Jesy had to walk to McDonald's, since there was nobody to take us in the car.

"when do you think that we will have to tell Leigh and Perrie?'' I asked.

"I don't know'' said Jesy with a thoughtful look on her face.

"not yet though?'' I said, hoping that Jesy would agree with me.

"no,'' sighed Jesy, ''but we can't hide it forever.''

I was worried about telling Leigh and Perrie. I know that I had to trust Jesy when she told me that they would be fine with it. I am really good friends, best friends, with Leigh and Perrie but I can't help but think what if they don't like it?

"what's the time?'' I said, trying to change the subject.

"twenty past'' replied Jesy, getting her phone out of her pocket.

We held hands and randomly chatted for the rest of the way to McDonald's. When we turned the corner to see the big sign, I let go of Jesy's hand. Her face dropped as she quickly put it in her pocket.

"what's wrong?'' I asked, wondering what I had do e to make her this upset.

"nothing'' she sighed. I could tell that something was wrong, but I also knew that she wasn't going to tell me what this was. We walked into McDonald's to see Perrie and Leigh sat at a table.

"finally!'' said Leigh, as she saw us walk in.

"and I thought that I was late for things'' laughed Perrie.

"we are only twenty minutes late,'' said Jesy, with a smile returning to her face.

We sat down, ordered our food and chatted as we ate.

"what were you two doing then?'' asked Perrie, looking up from her food.

I could see a smile spread across Jesy's face, and she tried to disguise her giggles with a cough.

"have I missed something?'' asked Perrie, looking at me and then Leigh, who also looked confused.

"no'' I said, looking at Jesy who raised her eyebrows at me and set me off laughing.

Jesy's POV

While we were eating at McDonald's I was thinking about the conversation that I had been having with jade. She always seemed to be worried about telling Leigh and Perrie about us. I was wondering why she was always so worried. Was she ashamed of us? We left McDonald's and began to walk down the high street towards the shopping centre.

"so then girlie'' began Perrie '' what shops do we want to go to?''

"I want to go to topshop'' said Leigh, pointing towards the big sign.

"I want to go to river island'' said Jade smiling at us all. She looked so cute!

"ok then'' I said ''we can go to topshop, river island and then some other shops.''

As soon as we walked into topshop, Leigh picked up a snapback cap. We looked around a bit more until we all had loads that we wanted to try on. In the changing rooms there was only three rooms left. Leigh went into one, Perrie went In to the other, so that there was only me and Jade left. I took hold of her hand and began walking towards one of the changing rooms. She stopped walking and let go of my hand. I turned around and looked her in the eye.

"Jade, I dont know what I have done wrong, but you are obviously ashamed of us'' I said, before walking out of the shop.

Jades POV

I ran out of the shop after Jesy and caught up wit her outside the shop next to river island. I could see tears in her eyes and it hurt me to think that I made that happen. I thought that she agreed that we wouldn't tell Perrie and Leigh yet. I went to try and comfort her but she turned away from me.

"Jesy please'' I said, trying to fight the stinging tears back.

"no'' she said ''your obviously too ashamed of us total people.''

Thus was not how I felt. I was proud to say that Jesy was my girlfriend. The truth was that I didn't want Perrie and Leigh to know because I was worried that they would think that I was ruining their friendship with Jesy. Leigh and Perrie had been friends with Jesy for ages, years, before they met me. I am worried that they would hate me and think that I am stealing their best friend.

"I'm not ashamed!'' I said, unable to control the tears now.

Jesy turned around so that she was facing me.

"then why won't you hold my hand in public? Why dont you want Perrie and Leigh to know?'' she cried.

I had to tell her the truth now.

"I would never be ashamed of us'' I cried.

"then what is it that you are so desperate to hide?'' she said, looking into my eyes and waiting for a answer.

"well'' I cried '' I am worried that they will hate me''

"what do you mean?'' sniffed Jesy, who had calmed down a bit now.

"well, you have been friends with them for ages and I thought that they might think that I was stealing their best friend.'' I cried as I said this.

"really?'' she asked, wiping her tears away.

"yes'' I said ''i love you and would never be ashamed of us.''

Her mascara was smudged and streaming down her cheeks. She leaned in and hugged me. I hugged her back and buried my head into her neck.

"I love you'' she said.

We walked back into the shop and into the changing room that was left, together.

"are you two still trying clothes on?'' asked Jesy, then waited for a response.

"yes'' we heard bot of then reply at once.

"well, we are not going to be able to try all of this on by the time they are done'' I said, looking down at the two big piles of clothes that we had chosen.

"well, we are going to have to just try and guess what fits'' she said ''we will have to do it quick''

"and we need to fix our make up too'' I smiled at Jesy.

Jesy's POV

We fixed our make up so that you couldn't tell that we had been crying. We quickly held our clothes up against us to get an idea if they fit.

When we were done we stroked outside the changing room and waited for the others.

Leigh's POV

I was trying on my last skirt, when I heard Jesy and Jade outside the changing rooms.

"I'm sorry'' whispered Jade.

"no, don't be'' replied Jesy, '' I should have asked why, before getting that upset.''

I was wondering what it was that they were talking about, whilst I pulled the shirt up and looked in the mirror. I could hear them talking again.

"I should have known that you would never be ashamed'' whispered Jesy.

"well, I could have made it more obvious that I wasn't'' jade whispered back.

What were they talking about? I really wanted to know what it was now.
