::words:: Other end of phone call.
Translations will be at the bottom if there needs to be. The same goes for each chapter.

"Agent Agent, what's going on?" I asked Coulson, walking into his office.
"We're on our way to the site of an alien artifact discovery. It's in Nevada." Coulson barely blinked when he saw my weapon of choice and style of dress. Hardly anything can ruffle this man.
"Alright. I need to make a call to check in with my uncle. That okay?" I asked. Coulson nodded and went back to work, an obvious sign of dismissal. Shrugging, I turned and left his office to get my phone from my quarters. Getting comfortable on the bed, I unlocked my phone and hit speed dial four, reclining against the wall as I waited for my uncle Mycroft to answer.
::Hello?:: A crisp British voice said on the other end.
"Hello Uncle," I greeted.
::Brynn, how are things with SHIELD?:: Mycroft inquired. My uncle Mycroft says that he holds a minor position in the British government but we all know that he is the British government. Therefore, he knows just about everything.
"Good. I've been transferred to work with Grant again but we're on a team. Two scientists, a hacker, a pilot, and my former handler. Jemma Simmons, Leo Fitz. Simmons is British, Fitz is Scottish." I told him.
::I'll look into. Good bye, niece." Mycroft said.
"Bye Uncle." I hung up, putting my phone into my back pocket before stretching out slightly. I stayed in my quarters for the remainder of the flight, setting up my laptop to have easy access to the internet and the plane's mainframe. When Melinda landed the plane, I hopped to my feet and donned my coat as I headed to the hanger.
"084, middle of the desert. No one has been spotted near it and we'd like to keep it that way," Coulson said as we got into the vans.
"I still don't understand why it's called that." I mumbled to Fitz, he snickered slightly.
"I like the coat," Simmons said over her shoulder. Ward groaned.
"Shouldn't've said that, shouldn't've said that." Ward looked wide-eyed at me.
"Thank you," I grinned at her, a look in my eyes that made Simmons blush.
"Do you really think that little of me Grant? That I would sleep with one of the scientists that could kill me and leave no trace?" I turned to ask Ward.
"You flirt with anything that moves." Ward shrugged.
"Your point?" I smirked.
"Tentacles, Brynn. It had tentacles." Ward deadpanned.
"Awesome sex." I cackled at his disgusted look. Okay, I take after Jack way too much but after all my years as a Time Agent, I've learned a few things that have come in handy and have had some interesting experiences.
"We're here." Melinda stated and I opened my door, hopping out.
"Don't see what all the fuss is about," I commented, walking over to the alien object partially in the ground. Crouching next to it, I pushed my coat slightly to the side and went to rest a hand on the object. I must have moved something because the next thing I know, I'm being blown backwards in an explosion that sent shrapenel flying, soot sky high, and fire spreading. I slammed into the van, feeling something pierce my heart. Sliding to the ground, I managed to pull it out before slumping over. I returned harshly to reality minutes later with four faces hovering over me, two of them wet with tears.
"Ow," I whispered, dazed.
"Brynn!" Ward blurted out.
"Please tell me my coat's okay." I begged. He let out a shaky laugh, nodding.
"I think we need to get back to the Bus. FitzSimmons has already collected what they need." Coulson said, resting back on his heels. I nodded but stayed on the ground. What the hell kind of explosive was that? Ward helped me to my feet, letting me lean on him as he helped me into the van. Once I was in the van, I leaned sideways onto Fitz and relaxed mostly.
"God, I hate dying." I groaned.
"Done it before?" Melinda's voice was soft and subdued.
"Yeah, several times. Coming back is always worse though," I replied honestly, closing my eyes.
"So what are you, a mutant?" Skye asked, curious.
"No. It's above your clearance level." I replied. She let out a huff, Ward rolled his eyes.
"It's above everyone's clearance level. Fury knows about it but it can't be put into reports." Ward sighed.
"Why's that?" Simmons asked quietly.
"I'll be expiremented on." I answered simply, opening my eyes once again for them to be put back into focus.
"So that's a no on writing it down?" Fitz commented.
"Exactly." I let out a bark of laughter and the van fell into silence for the rest of the ride, for which I was grateful.
