Chapter 3. The party

Shawn's p.o.v

I was walking home, crying. Why didn't I tell her right there my feelings about her. I mean I've known her for 5 years and I never have problems telling her anything. I think it was just the risk i was taking.. What if she didn't like me back? Would it make it awkward between us or ruin our friendship? All of these questions circle my mind as I'm walking home.

I'm mad at myself and I should've told her. I wish I had the courage to tell her. What if it changed everything for the good? What it if changed everything for the worse? Should I call her and tell her. I hesitate dialing her number but i manage to do so.

Kaitlyn: Hello?

Shawn: There's something I need to tell you.

Kaitlyn: Yes shawn?

Shawn: I-I-I really am gonna miss you a lot.

Damn why couldn't I just say it?!?

Kaitlyn: oh..

She sounded disappointed...

Kaitlyn: I will miss you too Shawn!! I have to go!! I will call you as soon as i can bye!!

*call ended*

I am so dumb. I'm even more pissed off at myself for not telling her. Why did she sound disappointed though....? Maybe thats just another reason to forget about this and move on..

Shawn: Hello?!

Matt: Hey bro!

Shawn: Oh hey Matt...

Damn it a part of me thought i would be Kaitlyn

Matt: So I'm having a really big party tonight, everyone is coming! Wanna come bro?

Maybe it'll be a good idea to get out of the house and forget about Kaitlyn for right now..

Shawn: yeah sounds fun! What time?

Matt: 9:30

Shawn: okay see you then.

Wow this is a sick party! But Kaitlyn is still on my mind....

To be honest I never was really interested in anyone but Kaitlyn, until right now. I forgot about her completely and I was just living in the moment.

I really am starting to like this girl Nikki. She is beautiful and I think she's into me.

"Hey Nikki, I need to know if I'm going to leave here with your number or not ;)"

"Well... Only if you agree to take me out to breakfast tomorrow morning." Says Nikki

Yes I hit it off with Nikki. I wasn't even thinking about Kaitlyn until I went in my room and saw the picture of me and her on my dresser. I faced it down on my dresser, hopped in the shower and went to sleep.
