Time was swiftly moving away. The couple still hadn't made up after their argument. Freddie still hadn't told Sam about his mother. Carly still hadn't managed to get hold of either of them. Only one thing was stopping everything from sorting itself out, one uncontrollable feeling... Love.
"Sorry..." The dork whispered softly, with a very sad look on his face. No reply from the blonde so he thought she was just ignoring him. She had every right to be angry at him. He looked down, seeing Sam asleep in his arms. A moment later, a snoring noise drifted around the room.
"Typical Sam..." He chuckled, slowly getting up and leaving her led down.
His phone made a quiet buzzing noise. Quickly, he answered it.
"Hello?"
"Freddie! Thank goodness, you are okay!" A voice the other end squealed.
"Course I would be okay... It's just one silly disagreement..."
"What disagreement?" Uh oh... Sam had clearly not told her best friend what had happened.
"No disagreement. Everything is fine."
"I don't call your mother being in hospital fine!"
"How'd you know?"
"They rang Spencer too. Turns out your mum put him in her emergency contacts." He cracked a small smile, "Is it okay for me to come over?"
"Sure..." He replied, not thinking. After he realised what he had said, there was no taking it back.
"Cool... See you in about two minutes." He hung up and dropped the phone. Carly can't come over, he thought to himself.
As he ran into the lounge, he completely forgot the blonde headed demon was still asleep.
"Hey, Freddie!" The brunette exclaimed, opening the apartment door.
"Hi, Carls. You okay?" He tried so hard not to burst into tears. His family was slowly falling apart. His mother was in hospital and the girl he loved was mad at him.
"Good thanks. Hey, have you heard from Sam?"
"Umm... Yeah. I have." He paused and stood up from the sofa, "She's here actually."
Carly's face lit up in surprise; she was extactic that her friends were okay.
"Sam... Sammy? Come on. Carly's here to see you..." She slowly awoke. When realising where she was, she jumped up and almost tripped over her own two feet. "Careful..." He said, catching her before the ground did.
The two walked into the lounge to see Carly. Sam was still quite nervous about facing her best friend after skipping school and ignoring all her phone calls.
"Oh my god, Sam! You're okay!" The very happy best friend yelled, running up to her and giving her a big hug.
"Someone's happy..." Sam muttered.
"Aww... Wait, were you asleep? I didn't wake you, did I?"
The blonde slowly shook her head and smiled, "No, the dumbat woke me!"
"That's okay the-Did you just call him a dumbat?"
"She has worse nicknames..." He mumbled.
"You really need to start being nicer to your boyfriend, Sam." Carly stated, crossing her arms.
"It's not my fault if he is a nub! Or a dumbat! Or a-a-"
"Ran out of insults? Good!" She said sarcastically, looking over at her other best friend, who was just stood there looking down at his shoes.
"Who says I wanna still be his girlfriend?" Sam blurted out, "Yeah. Why would I want to be?"
"Excuse me?" Freddork questioned, feeling quite offended.
"I-I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that!" She squeaked.
"Maybe you hurt my feelings too, Sam." He paused and took a deep breath, "We're over..."
The two girls stood there in horror as he walked back down the hall and into the bedroom. When he was out of sight, the demon spilled. All her tears, that she had been saving up from all the years, came flooding out. Tears from when someone was mean to her. Tears from when she wasn't wanted. When she didn't get her own way. When her sister left. When she first liked Freddie.
Carly was always a shoulder to cry on, "Come on. Let's get you back to my apartment. Stay for the night and see how you feel tomorrow..." The heartbroken girl nodded and followed her friend out of the apartment, taking a quick glance back...
