"Honey, I'm home!" I blurt out while closing the door behind me.
"Oh, you're home." Lux replies.
"Yep, really, really long day." I add.
"You must be hungry! Would you want to have dinner? Or take a bath? Or..." She pauses, while pushing back the hair resting on her shoulder. "...Me?"
Time to pull out the perfect response for this type of situation.
"I would like to have you for dinner in the bath." I hastily reply.
Nailed it.
She walks towards me, slowly. As each step goes by, I could feel the room getting hotter. Wait, am I even ready for this? I don't think I'm mentally prepared. Isn't it a little too early?
"Eh, erm, wait a minu-" I mumble as she cuts me of.
She gently presses her finger against my lip, shutting me up. She slowly closes the distance between my ear and her mouth.
"Wake up..." She whispers.
What?
"Wake up..." She repeats.
I don't get it.
"I said...Wake up!" She shouts while she grabs a pillow.
My eyes open as a pillow slams against my face and I fall on the floor.
"What the hell!" I blurt out.
"Rise and shine, sleepyhead!" She yells and drops the pillow.
I feel pissed. I should've known it was a dream, it was a scene that proved to be almost impossible. But even so, if I dreamed about it then...I wanted it to happen subconsciously!
Sensations of shame and joy gleam through my thoughts. Have the Gods decided to foresee my fate? It took me a while to get over it, so I turn to Lux, who was patiently waiting for me to get ready.
"Hey, uhm, you know I can't get changed with you in here, right?" I complain.
"Oh yeah! Uhm, sorry!" She replies as she embarrassingly walks away.
I get off the bed and grabbed the knob of the drawer to my right. I tried picking out what clothes should I wear, but then I realized that I don't know the occasion. I would dress like I usually do, the normal Piltovan explorer look, with my goggles and jacket with a hood, it doesn't look like a hoodie, but it has a hood, it doesn't look like a coat, perhaps a cloak? Yeah, let's call it that.
As Lux was about to step out the door, I call out to her.
"Hey Lux, where are we headed to?" I ask her.
"Ionia."She replies.
"Why?" I straightforwardly, in a manner which might seem to her as rejection.
"The Radiant Ones, the warrior order of the Illuminators, instructed me that If I have to master my magic, I have to study it within the source." She explains. "And that source is Ionia."
I smile at her and give her a big thumbs up. I'm actually kind of hyped for this expedition. I've never actually been outside of Valoran. I usually roam the deserts of Shurima, the mountains of Freljord, and sometimes, the Plague Jungles.
I decided to go with my usual outfit, I get dressed and equip my gauntlet on the wrist. I fill up all the 9 pouches on my utility belt with necessary resources and buckle it. I ran out the door and glide across the hallway. Nothing could kill this smile.
I rush to the staircase as I slide gleefully on the rails, swerving to the right as it takes a turn. I jump off and continue my sprint towards the gate. I smile at the maids looking at me, whether they think I'm a freak, or they believe I'm a freak.
