"WHERE ARE MY DETECTIVE PANTS?" Sherlock yelled from upstairs.
I couldn't help but chuckle. Before Mary and Sherlock had gotten together, Sherlock had been quiet, slightly mad, and a lone wolf. Now he was still all of those things, but a bit more expressive.
"They're on your suitcase, sweetie! Right next to your cute little hat!" Mary called back from our kitchen.
And Mary? Mary had been very upright, very busy, very on edge. Now, she was all of those things, but happier as well. A perfect example of a perfect couple. Becoming a better version of yourself.
"HARRY MIDDLE NAME CRAIG! IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHERE MY FEDORA IS I WILL KILL YOU!" Chloe ran through the kitchen and screamed.
"Babe! It's up here! Come get it!" Harry, who was rather tall, held it above his head, while Chloe, who was rather short, attempted to jump and reach it. Then, she jumped onto Harry, and climbed up his back like a monkey, grabbing the hat, and landing swiftly in his arms.
"I rather liked that trick." He kissed her.
Harry and Chloe were a wonderful match, too. By now, they were so comfortable with each other, they could say almost anything in front of the other and it wouldn't be weird! That also could be thanks to the strange conversations the Hamilteam has...
"Gabe! You put frosting in my hair!" Sophia's voice came from the kitchen."
"I know, I know. I didn't think you could get any sweeter."
Yep, Sophia and Gabe were a match made in heaven, too (that pun was very much intended).
Lucas was enjoying the single life. In his free time he would travel the world, with nothing pulling him down. He had sent us postcards of the exotic places he was visiting, the new foods he was trying, and would occasionally send us souvenirs with them.
And Elijah and I? We had been growing closer together over the past few months. By now he could tell when I was upset, and I could share almost anything with him, and he wouldn't make fun of me.
Yes, everyone in the Hamilteam was happy. Especially so, because many of them were going on vacation. The Holmes' were going to London to work on an important case, Harry and Chloe were going to Canada, land of the moose, home of the Craig, and Sophia and Gabe were going to surprise Lucas in Europe. Only Elijah and I were staying home, since we had just taken a big trip to Paris that February.
"Have fun! Don't touch anything in our rooms or we'll kill you." Mary hugged us and left.
"Have fun you two." Chloe wiggled her eyebrows. I slapped her upside the head and sent her on her way.
"Bye! We'll send postcards!" Then Sophia and Gabriel were gone.
"Wow." I said after I shut the door.
He stood there. "Well, what now? We can do whatever we want in here for the next weekend."
"Hm... want to go to the store and buy as much ice cream as we can?"
"HELL YEAH!"
•••
"Elijah! They just got a bunch of new puppies at the pet store next door! Can we go see can we go see can we go see can we go seeeee?" I was practically hopping up and down in the middle of the candy isle. Perhaps I had eaten a little too much ice cream.
