"I swear to the gods, if I see you wear shorts one more time before March arrives, I'm going to take them all and hide them until then." I threatened my dear boyfriend.
"You'll never get into my bedroom!" He smirked.
"Definitely not what you want your boyfriend to say." Chloe laughed.
My face took on a rather light pink shade as Elijah rolled his eyes and asked, "Why?"
"Because Fenske, you know me. Why did it take you guys so long to shovel to driveway? You know you could have just used magic."
I looked at Elijah as he stared at the floor, realization dawning on us both. "Right." We said.
"Idiots." Chloe muttered and walked away.
It was Christmas Eve, and the Hamilteam was ready for it. Mary hasn't stopped baking for what I assumed was five hours now, Kenzie and I had sneakily planted mistletoe wherever we could, and Sophia had arrived home with multiple mysterious packages a few weeks beforehand. They were all under the tree along with everyone else's gifts.
Christmas was my favorite holiday, the tradition and feeling of being home with the ones you love while it snows on the beautiful Christmas lights outside always made me feel at peace. I smiled as I took off my coat.
"What?" Elijah asked me.
"I just really love Christmas." I said. "And you." I leaned in to peck him on the cheek, but then the smoke alarm went off.
"No Lydia! Mary's gonna kill me if she finds out I let you burn the cookies!" Came Harry's petrified screams.
Elijah and I chuckled. "Shall we see what that's all about?" I asked.
"Why...." He muttered as I walked towards the kitchen.

After fixing the cookies, and the tree, since Lydia decided to ignite that as well, we all sat in the library near the windows as big as the wall to watch the snow fall as Mary read "The Night Before Christmas". Lydia was perched in her lap, Sherlock has his arm around Mary, Chloe sat in Harry's lap as he held her and stared at her. I was on the couch in between Elijah, who thoughtfully stroked my hand, and Sophia, who was cuddled next to Gabe. Kenzie and Lucas sat on the floor, drinking hot chocolate. Kenzie's drink was a white chocolate mix that I had whipped up for her.
At last, Mary finished the story and slowly closed her book. "I didn't think she'd ever fall asleep." She whispered as she looked at her little Holmes. "She's been too excited all day. I'm going to set her in her crib. Be right back." She took the book, Lydia, and carefully walked out of the room.
When she came back, we started a fire and turned on the Christmas lights that hung around he high walls of the library. Eggnog and hot chocolate filled our stomachs as we shared our favorite Christmas stories.
"How about the time I gave Mary that Tardis blanket?" I smiled.
"That was a year ago, it's not nostalgic." She laughed.
"Sure it is! It's a memory, isn't it?"
"Ooh, that time Harry and I went to Carsons-"
"EW!" Everyone cut Chloe off.
"- and we saw a shirt that reminded us of Kenzie! Wow guys I didn't know Carsons disgusted you so much."
Harry chuckled. "That's my girl."
"That wasn't even related to Christmas." Sherlock muttered.
"Oh shut up, Holmes."
We went on like that for the rest of the night until one by one we all drifted off, the fire keeping us warm and the snow keeping us cozy.
