Pretty short and boring. Sorry.

I've been busy helping my mom all morning with prepping and cooking for our big meal this afternoon while Noah has been helping our dad with deep frying the turkey. My mom kept asking about Daryl, and honestly, I was sick of talking about him. I missed him too much.

After a long day of prep, it was finally time to enjoy the feast. My parents always have the tradition of going around and saying what they're thankful for. My dad said a house and family, my mom said good income and family.

"Your turn, Noah." Mom said to him.

"I'm thankful for...Quinn." he said, peering up at me. My heart swelled as I smiled at him.

It was my turn, "I'm thankful for love."

My mom gave me a questioning look, but I brushed it off, not even knowing why I said it. When we finished eating, I helped my mom with dishes.

"So," she started, "you and Daryl are serious then?"

"I think so." I said.

"Have you two had intercourse?"

I dropped my dish I was washing into the soapy water, "Mom!"

"What?" she asked innocently, "I'm just curious."

I picked the dish up, and mumbles, "Yeah, we have."

Mom only chuckles.

The day went by fast, even though it felt like it dragged. I flopped down on my bed in exhaustion. I decide to call Daryl. I dial his house phone, and after a few rings a voice I didn't expect answers.

"Hello?" Merle said.

"Hi, Merle." I said, sounding less than thrilled, "Is Daryl home?"

"Well, hello, Quinn." he says rather loudly, probably to get Daryl's attention, "Yeah, he's here."

"Can I talk to him, please?"

"Sure thing, sugar tits."

I rolled my eyes before the phone was handed to Daryl, "Hey."

"Hey." I responded, "How was your day?"

"Pretty borin'" he said, "I made squirrel and potatoes for dinner."

I laugh, "Well, just like I promised, I have plenty of good leftovers for you."

"Good. I'm glad."

"Well, anyway, I just wanted to see how you were." I said, wrapping it up because I was tired.

"I'm glad ye called." he said, "Really made my day better."

I grinned, "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright." he says, "See ye tomorrow. Sleep well."

"Love you." I froze. Panicking, I quickly said goodbye, hanging up as fast as I could.

I can't believe I just said that! God, I'm so stupid. He's probably freaked out right now. I heavy sigh and lay down on the bed, preparing for a night of restlessness.

Wow, that was short and sucked ass. Oh well. Next chapter will make up for it.
