Chapter 12

Hey guys, I'm so sorry I havent updated in so long, but on the bright side, this book is at 1k!!! Thank you guys so so so much! I love each and everyone of you and thank you for reading ❤️❤️❤️ this brightened my day, considering I didn't have a very good one. My story today might not be so good, and here's why. I have a friend who I have known for so long, and we got into this huge fight at the beginning of summer. But we decided to stay friends and we moved on, but last night... she pranked me by telling me she didn't want to be my friend anymore. While she pranked me she was saying some awful things that really broke my heart and even though it was a joke, I just feel broken. I feel like she is pretending to be my friend at this point because she said she wanted to say those things about me once and I was even more heart broken at that moment. And most of you don't know, but I am going to a school (in one week) where there is a lot of bullying and the students can be very judgmental, which scares me because I want to make good friends, but at the same time I don't know if I should just keep my friend or not. As of right now I feel very alone and I wish I was happier, but when reality hits you, it hurts... and I mean it really hurts. I've been living inside my head where everything is just the best, and I didn't realize that I needed to come back into the world, but now that I'm here I feel broken. But I'll stop rambling about myself and let you guys read the story so that you don't get to bored of this. I hope you enjoy.

Your POV
I woke up fairly early, considering how early I went to bed last night. The sun had just risen and I would guess it was about 6 ish...? I got out of bed and decided to walk downstairs. Half way down, I noticed that Brei, WAS. NOT. HERE. I have absolutely no idea where she could've gone, and it's scaring me. WE ARE IN 1776, AND I LOST MY BEST FRIEND. I quickly ran back upstairs and put on a dress I found out randomly sitting in the dresser, and ran outside without informing alexander, which we'll talk about later. In the moment I was looking for Brei, and only Brei.

I made my way to lafs house to see if she was there with him, and not to my surprise, she was on the couch eating some random thing... 

"Wow you haven't even been here for a whole day and you already love whatever," I paused while making circle snaps around whatever she was eating so she wouldn't be even more clueless than she already was, "that... is..."

Brei chuckled a bit, and so did laf, "I don't know what it is either, but it's tasty!" She laughed while taking another bite of the mystery food.

"Um, Y/N? Alexander recently spoke to me about you two running off...?" Laf said while sitting down next to me.

Omg... I totally forgot. That night alex and I planned to leave for who knows where... so I lied, "oh um... we decided that we would stay."

"WONDERFUL!" He said standing up and throwing his hands in the air. Brei and I both laughed.

"Well ladies, what shall we do today?" Laf asked looking down at us.

"Explore this place. It's weird." Brei said standing up next to laf. Class is Brei, calling things weird and stuff.

"Hmmmm... I think we could fit that into our... how you say? OH YES, schedule." Laf stated.

"Well what are we waiting for?" I said walking over to the door, "let's get a move on."

Brei's POV
Y/N, laf and I walked down the road. This place isn't half bad. I saw ladies with their children, and men with their horses. I watched as some men sold flour to some women. We must have entered a supermarket without one of those big ass fans. Dang I miss those.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna go see what's over there!" I said to laf and Y/N, eager to see what was to my left at a booth.

"Be careful Brei, meet us at the fabric booth once your done." Y/N told me. I nodded my head, confused of what to be careful of. There aren't any dangers, right?

I made my way over to the booth I wanted to see. A young looking man stood behind a wooden table, which had some apples and oranges on it, placed in crates.

"Everything today is half off!" The mad said happily. I gave home a smile and looked down at the apples. I reached for one, but before I could pick one up, a tall man in a red coat stood in front of me.

"What do you think you're doing?!" He asked in an angry tone. Of course I had no idea why he was so rude to me, I just wanted an apple.

"Can I not have an apple?!" I shot back at him. He looked at me with an astonished face.

"If I were you I wouldn't have said that!" He said gripping both of my wrists. I screamed which caused others to drop what they were doing and look at me.

"LET GO OF ME! SOMEONE GET THIS FREAK OFF OF ME!!" I screamed while he pulled me away from the booth.

"BREI!" I heard laf call. Before I knew it, he was chasing after me. I pulled the other way so that the man would slow down a bit. Turns out taking gym class was a good idea!

Once laf reached us he was quick to punch the man in the stomach, causing him to let go of me and fall to the ground. I ran over to Y/N who was about 10 feet away from laf. The man in the red coat slowly stood up and ran over to laf. The man threw a punch at laf, but laf dodged and ran behind the man, punching him in the back. The ,an in the red coat fell over again. Laf stomped on him a good 50 times, I joined in at about his 30th stomp. The ,an in the red coat slowly stood up and ran away quickly with a few other men.

People who were in the crowd started cheering. I look at laf and he smiled, before we walked over to Y/N.

"What an asshole, now he knows never to mess with Brei and laf!" Y/N said nudging my arm. I chuckled with laf.

"I guess we do make a pretty good team." I smiled looking at laf, who smiled back at me. Wow... what a day.
