"You're going to have to tell us eventually." Marc said seriously.

"I don't think I will." I countered in his SUV on our way to the club. Tonight, I wore the blue uniform. I swear the skirt was a little shorter than the pink one. I had grumbled under my breath about showing off ass cheeks the whole way to his vehicle. I had deftly avoided any personal discussions about my relationships with the Blackbourne team so far. I knew they knew more that I was comfortable with, but I couldn't help what the guys had already spilled under the guise of "girl talk" with the bros. I know the guys could gossip with the best of any gaggle of girls out there, and apparently, the Toma team wasn't any better.

"We like you, Sang." I froze at his statement and groaned internally. Was I going to be dealing with a bunch of jealous guys? Was this going to be my curse to carry? Couldn't I just be friends with a guy? Marc must have seen my thoughts on my face because he pulled to the side of the road and stopped before I could figure out what was going on. "You better get that look of horror off your face, right now. We see you as a little sister. We like talking with you and want to hang out with you more. We're not interested in battling the Blackbourne team for your affections. That would be too much for you and for us. So, just take a deep breathe and stop freaking out on me. We want to know because we care about you and want to make sure you're okay. It's hard to have an uninterested ear pertaining to family problems if you're sleeping with all of them." He stated it matter of factly, not judging me or any of the guys for our lifestyle choice. Maybe I could talk to them, but they are friends with the guys. Would they run straight to the guys and tell them what I said?

"How do I know you guys aren't going to run to my team about everything I say to you?" I hated not trusting them, but this was a big step. I didn't really have anyone outside of the team to talk to about everyday things.

"I promise, Sang, whatever you tell to anyone of us, won't be repeated to the Blackbourne Team unless you ask us to." I could hear the sincerity in his voice.

"Pinky swear that whatever I say stays between us." I held out my pinky toward him. I knew pinky swears were of the utmost importance between friends, Luke told me so. Marc gaped at me a moment, looking like a fish as his mouth opened and closed without making a sound, his eyes darting from my face to my held out pinky. I was getting nervous. Would he not take the sacred pinky swear?

"Alright." Marc's eyes lit up with humor. "I pinky swear that whatever you tell me stays between us. You'll have to get the others to pinky swear with you, I can't do that for them." He wrapped his large pinky around my small one and we shook them twice to seal the promise. I was satisfied. "So, what's going on with you and the boys?" Someone would have to tell him about curiosity and cats.

"They broke my heart, lied to me and betrayed my trust." I sighed out.

"What?!" Marc exclaimed.

"They went behind my back to keep me from taking and completing the gun safety course so I'd be ineligible to participate in the more dangerous missions with the team. They wanted to keep me safe. But, Owen discovered what was going on and made arrangements for me to meet up with Raven to take the course without my family's involvement. Now we are trying to work our way through the crumbling trust." I let out a long breath, feeling so much better after getting that out there. Marc's knuckles were white where they were wrapped around the steering wheel, his face an image of barely controlled rage.

"If the council gets wind of this, your family could be dismantled." he said quietly.

"I know. Which is why we are trying to keep this on the down low and work through it ourselves. I hate that they took this choice away from me, that they made it for me without talking to me about it first. But, I love them and it's worth putting in the effort to try and fix it rather than throw it away."
