After the warmups Raquel and I go to get some drinks and popcorn. While waiting in line for our snacks I decided that I am going to have fun tonight. I mean how many chances do you get go to a Canucks game for free?
We settle into our seats and I set my drink on the floor under my seat and start munching on my popcorn. I look around and find that Angie and her friend are sitting about ten rows up. I smile to myself.
The game went by fast. Lots of hits, a couple fights and a few goals but most of all I had fun with my best friend.
"Excuse me, are you Kelsey?" I turn around seeing a security guard.
"Yes." I answer.
"Please come with me." He turns around and heads up the stairs. I look over at Raquel we both shrug our shoulders and follow the security guard.
All the Canuck fans are heading for the doors excited about the win. Raquel and I end up in an elevator with a few other people. When the doors of the elevator opens I realise that we are headed to the Canucks dressing room. Jake greets us when we get there.
"Hey." Jakes smiles pulling me into a hug. "Did you enjoy the game?"
"Yes I had lots of fun" I'm grinning from ear to ear.
"Would you girls like to go to dinner with me and Hutton?"
"I could eat" Raquel states.
The four of us end up in a fancy restaurant that I would never go to.
I look over at Raquel who has gotten Ben laughing. Jake smiles at me before taking another bite while I grin to myself. I never thought in a million years that Raquel and I would be having dinner with two Canuck players.
The waitress comes back to pick up our empty plates. "Would you like a dessert menu?"
Jake looks over at me then back at the waitress "yes please."
"The dessert here is unreal. Am I right Hutty or am I right?" Jake asks.
"You're damn right it's the best here. The Chocolate Explosion is what I get every time" Ben says while laughing.
The four of us together feels normal like this is how it has always been and will always be. I really like Jake and hope we can have many more dinners like this.
