Chapter 11: Even The Devil Weeps

In the castle of hell sadness was all that filled the atmosphere.

 Narissa sat in the throne room crying her eyes out which was unnatural for the stoic and emotionless Queen of hell while her husband, Satan, was trying his best to comfort his wife "I'm so sorry dear..." was all he could say to his wife who was crying and beating her hand into the arm on her chair which was beginning to crack it "they didn't even just kill her! they ripped her to pieces without mercy!" she screamed into Satan's cloak and he hugged her feeling the pain of what had transpired, she had lost her dear sister, and she was left dismembered.

Damian walked into the throne room and seeing his parents like this didn't help his worry about his cousin, sure he liked to mess with him and stuff and he knew he was immortal but for some reason something didn't feel right "m-mom? d-dad?" he said when he entered and they both looked up seeing their son walk in nervously but he didn't say anything else as he ran forward and jumped into a hug with all three of them, he couldn't feel as bad as them for the death of his aunt since he didn't know her that well but he still couldn't bear seeing his parents like this and the bad feeling he had about Jack didn't help either, he cried with his mother and although his father shed no tears it wasn't hard to see the pain and sorrow in his face that he felt and all Jack could think of was

Even The Devil Weeps

Styx was sitting on a table writing on some papers until Tentadora came in "Styx?" she asked as she enter and Styx replied grudgingly "what do you want women?" as his quill flew across the paper "did you hear what happened?" she said sitting down next to him on the table "of course I heard! why else would i be doing all this paperwork about the king's absence AND doubled with the fact that for some reason we are STILL looking for a new head of the royal guard since our close second was killed, our third doesn't exists, and our first quite to go out with the one that killed the second!" he said raising his voice at them but when he looked over Tentadora looked genuinely discouraged at the situation and he sighed angrily before continuing his work "I'm just worried about Damian now, he's been worried about his cousin and his aunt got murdered...she was a very nice woman too!" Tentadora said sighing as she jumped a bit in her seat from blowing a fuse "ow" she said plainly but Styx wasn't even listening as he continued writing 'we are sorry to inform you of the king's absence for a serious family matter has occurred and he will not be able to attend your meeting about the trouble with the souls coming in from the west so the meeting will have to be postponed until further notice...' he wrote until he suddenly felt two arms wrap around his and soft material with metal beneath it "Styx..." Tentadora said looking down at him and he was blushing but only answered "unhand me woman!" before Tentadora began crying against him and he groaned and hugged them back while patting their back while mumbling "dammit Tentadora" before she completely relaxed into him as continued to sob while Styx continued to wonder why she was so sad in the first place, people die all the time and they were in HELL, to Styx this was just more work for him.

Damian continued to sob with his parents before his ears perked up and suddenly his eyes widened as he saw something....it was blurred but he couldn't mistake the ragged and skinny shape of his cousin who walked through a laboratory as carnage raged around him, walls breaking, furniture flying, things lighting on fire, all of this keeping everyone else distracted while Jack walked through the lab and anyone who came at him he simply knocked to the side with the force of a full speed truck and he walked came up to what looked like a collar on a stand that said 'shape lock device' and Jack looked down on the device and picked it up,  inspecting it and only then did Damian notice that the white in Jack's eyes were replaced with black and his pupils were red similar to Jack's while his fur had turned a darker shade and that was all Damian saw before he snapped back to reality and found himself on the floor with his parents, Tentadora, and Styx looking down at him worriedly "Damian!" Tentadora said picking him up and hugging him tightly "oh my goodness I was so worried! you went pale and your eyes turn completely black and you looked like you were-" but she cut herself off as she hugged him tighter and Styx shouted "if you keep hugging him like that you're gonna kill em!" and she put him down but Damian only seemed more worried "I....I saw Jack, he's still alive but...." Damian couldn't put his finger on it, Jack didn't look the same in his vision, whatever that thing was he couldn't believe it to be Jack.
