Mumbai is called the city of dreams where life is fast as if everyone is running a marathon. Away from the whole hustle bustle a housing colony was located. The place was abundant in greenery and was a calm place to live.

You could find everything under one roof there as seen in real estate advertisements; a picture perfect life.

To the end of the lane was villa number 9-A outside which there was a golden plate with names of the occupants carved in bold letters.

Mr and Mrs Shekawat

The door opened to a well maintained adobe. In the hall one could find the picture of the couple who smile wholeheartedly. A flight of stairs led to their bedroom.

There a lady clad in loose tee and pants opened the curtains and the sun rays directly fell into the room . A figure lying on the bed was disturbed by the light and so, snuggled deeper into the cover.

"Get up lazy husband".

"Kaira, just close the damn curtains."

"No ,get up fast and see baby too is telling you to wake up", Kaira rubbed her palm on her 4 month old baby bump as she said that.

"No,I won't get up until the baby's mom gives a hug and a morning kiss".

"Randhir shut up" she said and blushed.

"Why should I shut up? I need it asap", saying so Randhir hid under the sheet

"Baby, we both won't talk to you if you don't come out of the quilt right now" and she sat at the edge of the bed.

"Okay. I lose as always", Randhir emerged from under the covers, passed a smile and moved closer to her and she stopped his attempt to kiss by keeping a pillow in between.

"No cheating, my hubby", and she gave slight slap on his cheek and left.

"Arghh I hate my life!" he sighed.

The couple that lived here was Randhir Shekawat and his wife Kaira Shekawat who are waiting for the new addition to their small family.

Randhir got ready and descended the stairs to see his wife busy in her meditation. He pulled out a chair and sat at the dining table to see that his breakfast was served by the maid. The maid was about to leave when he asked whether his wife ate food, she nodded a yes and left.

He waited for his wife to finish her yoga but is interrupted by a call from his office and rushed out not before mouthing a silent bye to her.

He reached home at night all tired and his wife was in the hall waiting for him. She smiled and passed a glass of water, he changed and joined her at the table. When he saw that just a single plate had been served, he raised his brows and she understood his query.

"We both had dinner early", and said a good night and moved to her room. After his supper he tip toed and entered her room to see her busy reading some moral books.

Randhir said, "Hey baby", and sat beside her.

She responded only with a smile. He placed his hand on her tummy and made circles on it and she enjoys it but suddenly she removed his hand from there.

"What?" he asked.

"Baby, till our baby comes out all these physical love is restricted."

"Why?" he asked making a puppy face.

"Mom said that whatever we do and talk our baby can hear and he will be spoiled by all these. So for his good we need to maintain this distance."

"Your mom first cribbed for marriage, then for a baby, now attacking our love life too. She is the biggest enemy in our life."

Kaira smacked him on his shoulder. "Randhir, mind your language and after all, she is thinking about our good. And my mom knows everything."

"Yeah, she is important and you love her the most. When she calls tell her if we hadn't made out this baby wouldn't have happened", he ranted and left the room in anger.

Kaira shook her head and immersed herself in reading. Randhir movesd to the balcony and took a packet of cigar. He pulled out one and tapped the butt of it on the packet and placed the cigar under his lips and lit it and slowly released the puff.

"I miss us and the love which was there before the baby. You have changed a lot. You are following your mom's orders and what about me? Am I not a part of you and the baby? I too would like to pamper and care for the baby but you are increasing the distance between us by listening to your mom. I wish everything could be same like earlier. The time we spent together and the cuddling and kissing each other without a reason. What am I even thinking? My wife pushed me out of her room and nowadays she doesn't even wait for me to eat together. I feel like I'm alone when I'm surrounded by my wife and our baby."
