Duality

A few days back i was talking to this girl . Her words implied that she was in pain and couldn't be happy however much she tried . This got me thinking.

The pain might be the only thing that never betrayed. Those demons the only ones who never left. Keeping us company when no one else did. Knowing who we really are at our we darkest and our brightest . Dancing with us when no one else would . Picking us up when the world kicked us down . Being the ones who stuck around at the end .

You can hate your demons with all that you are .
But at the end of the day ,
They are the only ones who truly know all that you are.

we can't drown our demons because they are the only ones who teach us how to swim when we drown ourselves . The reason we can't let go of our demons is that they are the only ones holding us in place when everything and everyone else falls apart.

But can't we be the connoisseurs of pain and the apostles of hope at the same time ?

The thing is this peculiar indescribable duality is almost impossible to achieve . Achieving it is like conquering an impregnable and unsurmountable peak

We humans are queer beings.
We strive for happiness n joy without wanting to repudiate the sadness n misery.

We want to reach for the peaks of the paradise without leaving the depths of inferno.

It is our this weird attachment to pain , sin and desires that makes us human . That completes us. This is who we our .

Flawed yet perfect , sinful yet innocent and guileless , defiant yet a slave to our own thoughts .

Our pain , our demons are just a manifestation of our constant endeavours to achieve what we can not have . To get to that forbidden elixer on everlasting happiness .

The conclusion I reached was that us humans are delusional little kids .
Wanting and striving endlessly for something that we can not have .
Wanting to be convivial and gratified while also being forlorn and lugubrious.

Wanting to minstrel the melodies of melancholy in the angel's palace,
While dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight .

All at once.
