Chapter 8

Nicki was sat in Starbucks waiting for Lauren, TT, Candi and Sherika. She had planned to meet them all seeing as it had been such a while since they last met up. She was on her phone texting drake when she felt people coming towards her. She looked up and found it was them. She got up an they greeted her with a group hug.

Lauren: Nic !!! We've missed you so much

Nicki: I know it's been a while

Sherika: so how are you

Nicki: could be better but not too bad

TT: aww. So how it been going

They all took their seats and engaged in conversation. Nicki also sat texting drake as he was at work.

Candi: who you texting smiling like that

Nicki: my man

Lauren: you got a man and didn't tell us

Nicki: you didn't ask

Sherika: well we're asking now so who is he

Nicki: someone. I never said I was going to tell you

Lauren: you are slick.

TT: guys all eyes on that phone

Nicki: you wouldn't guess by the name anyway

Lauren: what have you saved him as

Nicki: Augustus.

Candi: and that's not his name

Nicki: nope

Lauren: we'll work it out

Nicki: I'll leave you to it.

They all laughed.

Nicki: come in let's go and do some shopping

The girls had been shopping for about 3 hours now and still were tired. Just catching up on some memories was keeping them occupied.

Lauren: Guys Ty and Callum wanna come and join us

Nicki: let them. It's been like forever since I last saw them.

TT: yeah

Lauren: they said they'll meet us in McDonald's in 5 minutes.

They began their trek to mcdonalds and on the way there nicki felt someone take her hand. She looked up and found it was drake. She hit him on the arm.

Drake: ow

Nicki: you deserved that

Drake: what did I do

Nicki: you scared me

He just laughed.

Nicki: you're not funny

The other girls now realised that nicki was talking to someone.

Sherika: oh drake when did you join us

Drake: like 10 seconds ago

Nicki: scaring the shit out of me in the process

They laughed.

Candi: is that hand holding I see

Nicki: maybe it is

Lauren: Augustus ?

Nicki lifted their hand to show that they were interlocked.

Drake: hazel grace.

He placed a kiss on her hand as they continued their walk. When they got to McDonald's they found Ty and Callum sat inside. They all went and joined them and after saying their hellos just sat having separate convos. Drake had gone to get nicki a mcflurry.

Candi: so when did you and drake get together

Nicki: a month and 6 days ago

Lauren: and you know the days

Nicki: yes I know the days

Drake: one Oreo mcflurry

Nicki: thanks babe

He took a seat down next to her and put his arm around her.

Lauren: Ty I fancy one now

Ty: girls

He rolled his eyes before he went up and got her one leaving everyone laughing.

Nicki was now back at home after a long day of shopping. Her and Drake had organised to go out for dinner tonight with their mothers as it had been a while since Carol and Sandi had seen each other. Nicki had just got out of the shower and was dressed in some sweats and a tank top as she looked for a dress to wear tonight. As she looks she though about how great today had been just catching up with some of her close friends that he hang seen in a while. As she was looking for a dress she came across her list. She chuckled as she looked at it. She had completed about a quarter of the stuff there all thanks to drake.

She was distracted by a knock on her door.

Nicki: come in

Carol: hope I'm not interrupting you

Nicki: no not at all.

Carol: well I was just wondering if you would mind helping me choose a dress for tonight.

Nicki: happily.

With that they made their way to Carols closet so that they could pick an outfit.

Sandi: how do in look

Drake: you look beautiful ma

Sandi: thank you

She could see that he was slightly struggling with his bow tie so wet and helped him out.

Sandi: you really do love her don't you

Drake: more than anyone will ever realise

Sandi: you know you only have a very short time left with her

Drake: I know and I hate the thought of it.

Sandi: you're just gonna have to accept it. You've both fallen in love and that can't be reversed

Drake: I know.

Sandi: come on then.

She smoothed out his suit for him before they made their way out to pick up Nicki and Carol...
