Chapter 9

Nicki was just taking her suitcase downstairs when there was a light knock at the door. She opened it to find drake stood there with his hands in his pocket and all dressed for the cold weather.

Drake: morning beautiful

Nicki: hey babe

They leaned in and shared a quick peck before returning to a conversation.

Drake: you set to go

Nicki: yeah let me just go and say goodbye to my mother.

Drake: okay. I'll take these for you

Nicki: okay. Thanks babe

He took her bags to the car while she headed upstairs to say goodbye to her mother.

Nicki: ma

Carol: hmm

She walked in to find her sat in her bed with her glasses on and her happily engaged in a book. She was quite surprised as it was 4am in the morning.

Nicki: we're leaving now

Carol: oh right. Come here and give me a hug

She went and gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek.

Carol: have a safe flight baby and enjoy yourself. You better call me while you're down there and let me know how it's going.

Nicki: I will

Carol: good. I love you

Nicki: I love you too

With that they shared another tight hug before parting ways and nicki making her way down to the door again. Drake was stood by his car so she just headed out and shut the door making her way over to him. As she reached his he wrapped his arms around her causing her to look up at him and him to look down out her.

Drake: you ready beautiful

Nicki: indeed I am

He opened the door for her before letting her out of his grip and into the car. He closed the door for her then went to get in on his side.

Drake: London here we come

Nicki and drake had just taken off and were now settling down for there long journey. Nicki was getting a bit restless and drake could tell that she was tired. He lifted the armrest and wrapped his arms around her as she settled in close to him. He moved her hair out of her face and kissed her temple and it wasn't long before she drifted off to sleep. He watched her as she lay in deep slumber just admiring her facial features. It hurt him so much to think that in only 5 months he would be losing her and she would just be someone he once fell in love with. He had known her for so long and just the fact that he had to imagine a life without her made him want to join her. Nothing would be the same anymore. The fact that he had fallen further in love with her made it all that much harder for him to let go.

He wiped his tears and sniffled a little. He felt nicki move slightly then take his hand into her. She interlocked there fingers and snuggled closer to him.

Nicki: it's okay baby. It hurts me too but there's nothing that can be done about it. I didn't want it to happen like this either but I guess it's not something you can control.

He was surprised at the fact that she just happened to know that it was him that was crying and she knew exactly what caused it.

Drake: how did you know

He sniffled again and used his sleeve to wipe his tears.

Nicki: I just know. You never really cry in public and I know this is a very tough subject for you to think about or even discuss. But it's okay. You'll be fine I promise.

He just held on to her hand trying to push the thoughts out of his mind. The more he thought about it, the worse he felt so he just tried his best to forget about it for now and deal with it when he had to.

Nicki: shh. It's okay babe. Let's just focus on what we have now okay. We will cross that bridge when we get there. If you ever want to talk about it then you know I'm here.

He nodded.

Nicki: I love you

Drake: I love you too

They landed in London at 8pm. Being it was the winter season it was quite cold outside for the both of them and it was pitch black. They went and picked up their bags and nicki was already living listening to the peoples accents.

Drake: what are you smiling at

Nicki: nothing. They just sound so cute listen to them.

Drake: you are something else you know

Nicki kissed her teeth and hit him on the arm. They continued their walk to get to the taxis and once they were settled in one made their way to their hotel which wasn't too far away. Nicki was already loving exploring the city and that was just from the ride to the hotel. Drake got them checked into their hotel room and they were given their room cards. They opened the door to their room and after putting their bags down they relaxed onto the bed.

Both looking up at the ceiling drake reached over and took nickis hand into his. He placed a soft kiss on it before just looking at her. She looked back at him and they just smiled at each other.

Nicki: what are we doing tomorrow.

Drake: London eye.

Nicki: Really?!!

Drake: yeah

Nicki: have I ever told you that I love you

Drake: maybe once or twice

They both laughed. She moved a little closer to him and he turned to face her. He leaned down and gave her a kiss. She let her hands rest on his chest while his just tucked loose strands of her hair behind her ear. She yawned and he just watched her.

Drake: tired

She nodded.

Drake: well let's get you ready for bed

She chuckled at the way I which he was treating her like a five year old. They both got up and went and took separate showers before getting ready for bed and letting sleep take over.
