*Avery's POV*

It's been a 45 minutes into class. Yes, finally class is almost over. Mr. Bates was giving a lecture so the class has to be really quiet unless someone wants to have lunch duty for a week. I'm not even paying attention to what he's saying. All I can think about is Taylor. Did he just say I'm his prom date? Or was I just daydreaming again? If I was going to be asked to prom, I didn't expect it to be like THAT. I wiggle my feet as I'm trying to calm myself down. It's been a bad habit for me to do that, everyone hates it. I also like to draw to calm myself. This time I was drawing a cat in my notebook. I love cats. Maybe because I'm probably going to end up like one of those lonely cat ladies. My thoughts get distracted as Taylor slips a note on my desk.

"You like cats huh?" The note said.

"Yeah I do" I respond. "You?"

"Yeah, they're alright" I look at him as he gives me a little wink.

"Are you ok?" He writes.

"I'm good" I put.

"So what did you think about what I said earlier?"

"About what?"

"About prom?" He wrote. He was asking me?

"That was your way of asking me?" I reply.

"I'll take that as a no." He whispers in my ear. His warm breath gave me chills down my spine. I stay quiet until the end of class. I didn't even bother to say bye to Julie and Valerie. I just wanted to get home. I didn't walk home. I ran home. As I got to my house I throw all my stuff to the couch and immediately go to my bathroom to take a shower. I wanted to take a shower. Not only because I just ran as fast as I can right now, but also because they help me think. Why would Taylor want to take ME? What does he see in me? I'm not attractive. I'm short, I'm brunette, I have ugly brown eyes, I'm more on the "fatter" side. Well I seem like I am considering every girl at my school is a size 0. Maybe he just feels sorry for me. Maybe he doesn't want me to be by myself. I get out of the shower and throw my hair into a wet bun. I put some sweatpants on and a sweater. I go downstairs and sit on the couch to watch some Netflix. I am currently obsessed with this show series called Bates Motel. It's based off of an old movie. I love old movies. I love seeing how society was back then and I like to compare it to today's society since now it's messed up. I'm pretty much a nerd. As I watch maybe 2 episodes I hear a knock on the door. I open the door and see that no one is there. I look down and notice a box. I look at the note and it says: "For Avery". I take the box inside and close the door behind me. The box is quite light in weight. I set it down on the couch and open it. As I'm opening it a little white kitten jumps out of the box. She was the most cutest cat I have ever seen. She had green eyes, and had a mark on her face that resembled a mustache. I scream of excitement and carry it into my arms. I search the box for a note and yet I find one. It was a red envelope that was closed by a little cat sticker. I thought it was cheesy but it was still cute. I open the envelope and read the note inside.

"I'm sorry about what happened to us in the past" it said. "But please let's keep it in the past and start over."

No one signed it. There was no name. As I frown I look on the back and there was a little side note that read: "Go outside in your front yard." I set the little down and walk to my front door. Looking through the peep hole I see no one. I open the door and walk to my front yard. There he is. Taylor Caniff holding a dozen of red roses.

"Will you go to prom with me?" He said.

Hello! I'm sorry about the really short chapter! But hey at least I finished two chapters in one day! :) I'm thinking about having a weekly day of updating my story. Should I do long chapters once a week? Or do small chapters throughout the week? Comment what you think I should do! :)
