Chapter 10

*Taylor POV*

The next day Cameron and I hung out. Kind of just a day to catch up on each other. We were in Five Guys at a table waiting for our order. While we were waiting, the scene when the guys were meeting Avery kept on replaying over and over again in my head. "You must be a very special girl if your dating Taylor." Cameron said yesterday.

She truly was special. I love her so much, there's no words for me to explain. I love the way she laughs, her smile, the way she gets embarrassed when she accidentally snorts while laughing.

I guess I was smiling a little too much because my thoughts got interrupted by Cameron.

"Whatcha thinkin about?" He asks childishly.

"Nothing that concerns you!" I say laughing.

"So Avery. How did you guys meet?"

I hesitated to tell him. "We actually were friends before. But we got separated until now."

I don't ever want to tell anyone about the past. It hurt her too much. What kind of person would bring back something that gave her so many problems? I don't think she wants anyone to know.

"What separated you two?" He asked concerned.

"Uh.. just friends in general. I got my friends and she got hers. I mean I do feel terrible for not talking to her all these years but I'm grateful I can call her my girlfriend now." I say with a smile.

"Number 43!!"

Cameron gets up to go get our food. Meanwhile I texted Avery.

T: Hey Ave ☺️

A: Hi love. What's up?

T: What are you doing today?

A: Nothing just staying home. Why?

T: I wanted to see if you want to hang out with the guys and me today. 😁

A: Sure! But I'll be the only girl there ._.

T: Bring Valerie! Aaron has a thing for her so might as well. 😏

A: I'll bring Julie too.

T: k I'll pick you guys up in a few hours.

T: Okay?

A: Okay.

I put my phone away as Cameron came back. As he sat down we immediately started eating.

"Is it ok if Avery and her friends hang out with us and the guys today?"

"Yeah of course." He said. "I'll just tell the guys."

"What are we going to do?" I ask.

"I saw a mini carnival on the way over here. We can go there?"

"That sounds so fun. First carnival with Avery." I texted Ave and told her about our plans. After that it was a long silence because we were on our phones and eating.

*Avery POV*

Taylor just texted saying we're going to the carnival downtown. I haven't been there since my dad took me a few years ago before he.. you know. I texted the girls to invite them over so we can get ready together.

*Group Chat - Julie, Valerie, Avery*

A: The boys are inviting us to go out to the carnival later. Wanna come?

V: Sure! I'll go.

J: Can't. I have plans.

A: Plans? What kind of plans.
