Chapter 9

"Avery!" I hear someone shout from behind. I turn my head to see no one. Just a bunch of people crowding in a corner and people passing through the hallway. I turn my head back to resume getting my things from my locker. "Boo!" Someone nudges me in the arm. "Oh my god you scared the crap outta me!" I say to Valerie as I playfully push her. "Did I really?" She asks with a surprised face and big eyes. "Psh no. You are the least intimidating person I know." I say winking at her. "Wow you're nice." She says with a hurt face. "I'm kidding!" She's so gullible I swear. "Where's Julie?" I ask. "She's over there talking to Jacob." She replies with a smirk on her face while pointing to the other side of the hallway. They were laughing and giggling like a pair of little girls. Is that really Julie? She never flirts with guys.

"Where's Taylor?" I ask while looking around.

"Why are you asking so many questions? And why do you care?" She responds with an awkward face. Crap. I never told my best friends that I have a boyfriend now. I got too distracted with Taylor.

"I forgot to tell you guys," I said. Her eyes widened with curiousity. She then called Julie over to us.

"What do yo guys want, cant you see I'm talking to Jacob?" She asked with an annoyed face.

"I'm dating Taylor now." I say with the most serious facial expression I can make. They always knew that I secretly liked him deep inside of me. But my hatred toward him covered it up. I really do like him now. He showed me that he's not an actual popular jerk that I thought he was. They both stand there in shock. A few seconds later their shocked face turn to a grin and they both shriek of excitement. They hug and congratulate me and we head to class.

It's the last period of the day, and I still haven't seen Taylor. Where could he be? Is he sick?

I sit by myself in chemistry listening to Mr. Bates rant on how we students don't do our work. We didn't even work on any science, he just lectured the entire time. During that time I took out my phone and texted him. "Hey, you didn't come to school, you ok?" I ask. No reply throughout the whole class.

Once class ends, I pick up my things and walk out the door. As usual, the girls were waiting for me. "You want to go to the mall right now?" Valerie asks.

Maybe hanging out with my friends will make me feel better. I just need to stop worrying about Taylor. I'm sure he is perfectly fine being popular and all. I accept Valerie's invitation and next thing you know Valerie, Julie, Jacob and me are all in Julie's car driving off to the three story Fashion Square.

As we arrive it is pretty packed. It took about 30 minutes to try and find a parking spot. Once we found one it was so far away from the actual mall but we decided to suck it up and walk. Fashion square is a nice mall. There's a good variety of stores and food places. There's even a stage in the middle of the food court so you can watch entertainers while you eat.

We got inside and immediately see a huge group of girls surrounding the food court. They are screaming different names, I can't even recognize who's names they are chanting because they are so loud. As my group gets closer we see a big poster that says "Magcon" on the wall of the stage. All of a sudden, 9 boys walk out. I immediately recognize each one of them. Including Taylor. Each boy waves at the crowd and the girls get even crazier as they wave one by one. The last one who waved was Taylor. The girls were screaming some pretty weird stuff at him such as "Fuck me Taylor" and "Father my children". I laugh at these girls as they are yelling.

A girl with long, curly hair then runs onto the stage immediately running to a turn table and starts playing some music. The boys then start dancing to the lipgloss song and Talk Dirty. I watch the boys dance from far away as Julie, Valerie, and Jacob stand next to me. About 15 minutes pass and they end their show. The girls start awing as they start to go about their business to continue shopping. Some girls actually stayed and tried to sneak in backstage, but security caught them. My group and me walk up to the security man and demand he lets us backstage. Of course he rejects our request even though I told him I was Taylor's girlfriend.

"Nice try." The man says chuckling while he starts to escort us away from the stage.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's ok, they're with me." I hear someone say. I turn around to see Taylor telling the security guy to let us go. The man apologized and we then followed Taylor backstage.

"Sorry I didn't tell you about our little gathering." Taylor says.

"Little?" I ask with a smile on my face. Taylor smiles at me while nudging my arm.

"Who are your friends?" He asked.

"Oh sorry, this is Valerie, Julie, and Jacob."

"It's so nice to hear that Avery talks a whole bunch about us." Julie says sarcastically. I roll my eyes while laughing.

"Oh she does. She talks loads about you guys." Taylor says while winking. "Oh come meet the guys." He holds my hand and pulls me towards a group of guys that are in a corner laughing with their phones in their hands.

"Guys, I want you to meet someone very special." They all turn around.

"This is my girlfriend Avery Adams." I smile as they all start to awe.

Each one of them introduce them selves one by one.

"I'm Cameron."

"I'm Nash."

"I'm Carter."

"I'm Aaron."

"I'm Shawn."

"I'm Matthew."

"I'm Jack Gilinsky."

"I'm Jack Johnson."

The girl with long, curly hair walks in backstage with kitty ears and flower crowns in her hands.

"Look guys!! Look at what my fans got m-" She stops and looks at me. She has this sort of surprised face while walking slowly towards me.

"Taylor is this-"

"Yes it's Avery. My girlfriend. You finally get to meet her now." Taylor says with a grin.

She hugs me tightly while rocking me back and forth.

"She's so pretty, and adorable, and cute, and stylish. Oh my gosh she is perfect." I thank her and say the same to her.

"I'm Mahogany." She says. The girl with long, curly hair finally has a name.

"It's so nice to meet you everyone." I say. "These are my friends." I introduce my friends to the guys and Mahogany. I notice that Valerie wouldn't stop glancing at Aaron. And Aaron wouldn't stop glancing at her. I wink at Valerie as she blushed while STILL looking at Aaron. I can tell that they are going to be a thing.

"You're so short." Nash says as he walks up to me and puts his elbow on my shoulder.

"So I've heard." I say while laughing.

"You must be a very special girl if your dating Taylor." Cameron says. I look at Taylor as he responds while looking down and smiling.

"Yeah.. She really is."
